In current situation, Bhel, Gail, sail going to private so is it useful to study the gate examination.
Hi aspirant,
Yes, it would still be useful. BHEL, GAIL, and SAIL would still recruit students on the basis of their GATE score. If you think by being private, they won't provide perks to their employees then you're wrong. GATE score would still be considered for admission to top engineering institutes like IITs and NITs. So, overall it depends on you.
All the best
Im interested in thermal engineering department. If I selected in bhel job how I choose an particular department.
hello aspirant,
see if you are selected in bhel there will be 1 year training period. and you cannot choose the department where you want to work. however if sometimes if you get lucky you may placed in your desired department. i suggest you to be patient and work as per their requirement. after the probation period you may get your choice of department.
I am doing Btech ME(industry integrated) course, i have seen detailed advertisemens of PSUs recruitment through Gate like Bhel, Gail, Ntpc
PSUs like BHEL, NTPC, ONGC etc takes candidates who has given GATE exam with a merit score. As you are pursuing your B.tech+M.tech Integrated course you cannot join in any of the PSUs through GATE.But they will release notifications for other candidates those who have completed B.Tech/B.E, M.tech/M.E etc.You can apply at that time. This kind of recruitment process is entirely different.
I hope this is helpful.
All the best!

I have done B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering. Am I eligible for GATE exam or BHEL ET recruitment exam?
Hi Ruman,
No, a B.Sc graduate is not elligible for the GATE examination because this examination requires an elligibility criteria of minimum B.tech or engineering degree .
You can appear for GATE exam when you are in final year of M.Sc or after completion of M.Sc and after that you will be eligible for BHEL ET recruitment exam.
