After MD Biochemistry can we do DM
Hello Dear!
After a lot of work to clear PG medical entrance exams, students have to face another hurdle after getting a good rank. That hurdle is to choose a good PG specialty branch. Nowadays after doing MD/MS, it has become almost a necessity to do DM/M.Ch as PG seats are increasing every year and so is the competition.
After completion of MD Biochemistry you can do DM . But there are certain restriction to that in various institution like in AIIMS MD (Biochemistry) is not allowed to do DM Endocrinology. So do check that.
Have a Great Day!

I am currently enrolled in bsc Hons chemistry in du. Can i do bsc hons biochemistry from Ignou distance) simultaneously in 2021? Will it be valid or legal??
Hello.
As you know it is not l gal to get bachelor's degree from two different institutions at the same time. Some people do enroll themselves into both the courses, but you cannot show anywhere that you have completed both the course simulataneously. Hence, it is not legal to carry on with both the courses from two different universities at the same time.
can i go for two courses for my graduation at aiims? Say , biochemistry and genetic engineering..
Hey,
For your enquiry, from 2020 UGC had allowed students to pursue two courses at the same time in an university. Though you cannot take these two courses as regular courses. One course has to be taken in the regular mode and the other in open or distance learning programme mode.
Thank you for contacting us. Hope this helps you. All the best!

Is biochemistry much harder than our way of thinking ? or an average student can study ! I am tensed and worried of taking bsc biochemistry as I listened it much harder ???
Biochemistry is a pretty interesting subject, there may be several rumours that this subject is very hard, this is not a subject for average students but it is wrong. You will study about enzymes, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, amino acids in details and you will find all of them pretty interesting. So if you work hard and don't panick, then only you will succeed and make self notes from the books and practice the structures to score more.
Good luck!!

bsc biochemistry vs bsc biotechnology which is best?
Hello,
BSc Biochemistry is a 3-year undergraduate course in chemical and physio-chemical processes. It is a branch of science that deals with chemistry applied to the study of living organisms and the atoms and molecules which comprise living organisms.
- With this you get many job opportunities like you can be Biology Technician, Molecular Biologist, Ecologist, Botanist, Agriculture Consultant, Online Tutoring, Career In Genetics, Wildlife Conservationist.
- B.Sc Biochemistry subjects include biochemical dynamics, organic chemistry, calculus, general chemistry, and genetics.
Whereas biotechnology is technology that utilizes biological systems, living organisms or parts of this to develop or create different products. Which can be developed rapidly because of the new possibility to make changes in the organisms' genetic material (DNA).
- Biotechnology is a good career option. ... If you are a person enjoying science, math, technology, investigating and solving problems, making useful products, then career in biotechnology shall be good option for you. You can start with a BSc bachelors degree in biotechnology and step by step.
Biochemistry is a pure science field, while biotechnology is an applied science field.
Biochemistry deals with the process and pathways happening inside the living cell, while biotechnology deals with the techniques to study those processes, and applications of those processes.
Currently biotechnology has more scope than the latter course.
hope this helps!!
