Does Bsc in combined biotechnology, genetics and biochemistry have a good scope in future nad good earning?
Hi
Hope you are doing well.
The Biotechnology focuses on the application of cellular and biomolecular processes to develop products that help to improve our lives. It involves concepts related to Engineering, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Technology etc. It also covers topics such as animal biotechnology, fermentation technology, spoilage of food and its preservation.
The Biochemistry focuses on the study of chemical processes at the molecular level that occur within living systems. It covers subjects related to metabolism, enzymology, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, biophysical chemistry, recombinant DNA technology, genetics, virology, etc
The Genetics focuses on the application of Biotechnology and Microbiology in genes, expression of genes, genetic variation, gene pool, structure and function of genes and heredity of animals, plants, and human beings.
Career opportunities are available in both government and private sectors.Top Recruiters are Abbott Laboratories,Indian Society of Cell Biology,Cipla etc
It is a good career option. The students can get a salary package of about Rs. 2.5 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs per annum. You can get job in Corporate companies, scientific laboratories, diagnostic laboratories, research centres etc.
biochemistry or bioinformatics which is better to do PG
Generally bioinformatics course is preferred for pg as it covers all the aspects of biochemistry as it have QSAR , clinical biochemistry, biomolecular simulations , molecular biophysics , genomics ,etc.
And the best part is that every lab requires a bioinformatician so there is a wide scope in government as well as private sector . But at last it will be your decision to choose the one which you find more interesting.
Hope it helps..

From these which bsc group have more scope and career bsc chemistry botany zoology , bsc biotechnology biochemistry chemistry and bsc chemistry zoology botany biochemistry
Hi Mayur,
Each category of science has scopes in their respective fields.
Bsc. Chemistry deals with basically chemical compounds. There is huge scope for chemists i.e, they can go for pharmacy or various industries, chemical manufacturers, forensic, lecturer etc. Apart from these, they are also recruited in other fields such as oil, gas and power sectors and even in defense services.
Bsc. Zoology deals with study of animal biology. Scope of zoology includes work in the fields of environmental consultant, Marine biologist, professor/lecturer, scientist etc.
Bsc. Biotechnology is a study that binds cellular and bio-molecular processes to develop advanced technologies or products. It has wide scope in the field of Medicine, pharmaceutical, industry, agriculture, environment, professor/lecturer.
Bsc. Biochemistry is the study of atoms or molecules which make a living organism. It's scope is in the sector of dr ug manufacturing companies, bl ood bank & services , c ancer research institutes, agriculture and fisheries e ducational institutes, in dustrial laboratories, re search departments.
According to me, the scope of these subjects is wide in their respective fields. So, you can go in the area of your interest.
Best of Luck :)
i have done b.voc MLT, now i want take admission in mcs biochemistry but all colleges not allow to do,they said only bsc in biochemistry can do msc in biochemistry.what i do next , suggest some college or course.
Hello dear
Don't worry, you still have a better options
I'll mention you the courses which you can do after B.voc MLT
1.you can opt for M.Sc MLT - doing masters will complete your course
In M.sc you can select any 1 of these courses MLT ,medical microbiology, clinical research, nuclear medicine technology, medical imaging technology, medical technology
2.or also opt for M.voc MLT
Again it depends on your field of interest you want to study in the same field you have to opt either M.sc or M.voc
3.you can also do post graduate diploma in clinical genetics and medical laboratory or in laboratory services or in medical laboratory technology .
Or if you want to explore a different field you can do MBA or M.com .
Or you can go with a job as your graduated
You have lot of job opportunities
You can work as a lab technician ,medical laboratory assistant ,head technician of pathology department.
So figure it out in which field your interested in
And if you what to know even about the collges ,mention the course in the comment box ,I'll let you know
All the best!
comparing to all courses BSc nursing is a best or not and BSc biotechnology or BSc biochemistry are engineering biotechnology which is the best course in this
Hello student,
Actually see all of the courses that you have mentioned are very good courses. But one thing you also should remember that your interest matters. Because suppose if you are interested about BSc nursing and then you go for BSC biotechnology which is quite different from BSc nursing as well in the term of syllabus and the study curriculum. However if you want to get a compare between all of those courses then I can suggest you to go for BSC nursing course. Just because it is a professional degree course which means after completing your course you can get chance in some nursing homes medical colleges and hospitals to work as a nurse. Obviously the payout will be great. All the course fee is somewhat greater than this but definitely it will be beneficial for you.
You can go through this link below to know more about BSc nursing course
Bsc biotechnology biochemistry genetic and microbiology which combination is best
See if you want to go for Biotechnology or Genetics then going for a BTech course will be better as they are more job oriented. Now if you want to go for BSc course then I would recommend you to go for Biochemistry or Microbiology as a course to study. After your BSc, you have to go for MSc course in order to be eligible for job sector.
This courses are more job centric among the BSc courses you have mentioned. Now if you want to go for research then I would recommend you to go for any of the course. But if you wish to get a job then this is my suggestion.
**I would always recommend you to conduct some research by yourself then only take decision.

botany hons.vs life science.vs biochemistry hons.vs zoology hons.
See all of them are the different branches of Life Science.
The main difference in all the three subjects doesn't come at the initial level as all of the above mentioned courses contain small chapters consisting information of all of them.
So the main difference arises when one moves for higher studies. So choose according to your interest and what excites you.
Good Luck!

can you please suggest which course should I pursue if I want to become lecturer in medical College, bsc in biochemistry, bsc in forensic science, or bsc in psychology.
Dear aspirant,
You can take any of these subjects to become a lecturer in Medical Colleges in India.
But you have to pursue Master's in the respective subjects and then can appear for various entrance exam for professors in the field.
For lectureship post in premier institutions in India you should have at least Phd and experience of 2 years at the respective field of work or a Post Doc. Degree from India or abroad.
Hope it helps..
Best of luck..
