Hello Student
INI CET-Institute of National Importance Common Entrance Test is conducted by AIIMS for admission in MD,MS, MCH of 6 years,DM/MDS of 6 years .
There is no second provision for taking admission in MSC biochemistry through INI CET.
After all you have not mentioned the universities in which you want to take admission for MSc biochemistry .There are several National and college level entrance test for admission in MSC biochemistry which is a mixture of biology and chemistry. The entrance tests are BHU PET,AMITY JEE,IIT JAM,GSAT,MCAER CET.OUAT entrance exam for Odisha.
So admission in MSC in biochemistry you need not appear in INI CET exam.
Hope this helps

after b.pharm can i do msc in biochemistry and is it good for me or not ?
Hello student,
The eligibility criteria for pursuing MSc Biochemistry is that the candidate must have completed graduation with minimum 45% required marks from a recognised university.
You are eligible too for pursuing master's in biochemistry as many of the universities in India accept BPharm for MSc Chemistry, for examples : TIFR, IITs, IICT, ICT, IICB, etc.
Yes, the scope for both the fields are good, choice of job opportunities should be based on your preference.
Thanks.

Is Pankaja Naik Biochemistry book better than Vasudeven??
Hi Surya!
It totally depends on one's interest which book he or she wants to read. It varies from individual to individual. Pankaja Naik book is very good book for 1st year MBBS biochemistry. It has explained the content pretty well in a very short and simple manner. It covers all the diagrams and flow charts for better understanding of concept. As per the reviews, Vasudeven has glossy pages which attracts students. vasudeven explains the topics in a very lenghty and descripltive manner which some students find complex.
Hope it helps, thankyou!

I am in 1st year mbbs what topics of biochemistry should I read from harper and from Lippincott
Hello candidate..
To answer this question, I am assuming that this question has been asked with regard to Medical Biochemistry, as these two books are standard textbooks for 1st year in Medical School.
Biochemistry can be roughly divided into 3 major sections:
- General Biochemistry of Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats
- Metabolism of Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats
- Molecular Biochemistry comprising Genetics
For section 1 and 2, I prefer Harper. Metabolism portion is explained vert lucidly in Harper. Lippincott has good illustrations, but the text in Harper is better.
However, for section 3, the text in Harper isn't very lucid, and It lacks good illustrations. So, for this section Lippincott’s Biochemistry came to my rescue.
Medical Science is an integrative science. No single text book is enough to clear all doubts and build all concepts. One has to refer to different books.
In addition to Harper and Lippincott, I'd suggest that you look into Lehninger and Genes X (for genetics). You don't need to study these two books thoroughly as that is beyond the requirement for exam, but you may however refer to these for getting some doubts cleared. I did the same.
I hope this answer helps!
Regards!
what portions of biochemistry has to be read from harper and lippincot
Hello student,
Actually you have not mention from which college and from which year you belongs to. You can get the syllabus of your level Examination, from the respective College official website. You have to read from there.
Actually biochemistry is a subject like where you have to do revision at lot. Usually the textbooks of biochemistry are overpriced. You also can get lehningers or goljans .
