Are Bsc biology hons and bsc biological science hons same ? Can I do Msc with Agriculture or msc biotech after bsc biological science ? or which msc streams i can choose after bsc biological science hons
Hello
Yess Bsc biology Hons and Bsc. Biological science both are same course which deals with the study of living life, its formation, structure , development , advancement and many more things. It includes subjects such as Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology , Biodiversity, Although both courses are same but subjects might differ slightly. yes you can do Msc with Biotech and agriculture after bsc in biological sciences. If you have really interest in Biotech then go with it you can complete your msc in industrial Biotechnology which deals with the study of microbes on industrial purpose and making them useful for production of vaccines, medicines, beverages and many more things, by completing you can join both pharmaceutical and food industries. I hope it will help you .
All the best !!
what can we be become by choosing biological science in ug
Hello candidate,
There are various fields and stream which you can pursue if you have completed your undergraduate studies in biological sciences. Some of the best career opportunities are- Academic and hospital research, Biotechnology, Dentistry, Ecology, Environmental science, Food industries, Forensic science, Government agencies (FBI, FDA, DNR, NASA, USDA), Molecular Biologist, Ecologist, Botanist, Agricultural Consultant, Online Tutoring, Career in Genetics, Wildlife Conservationist.
Hope you found it helpful. If you have any further questions feel free to post it here!!
Iam currently doing Bsc(Hons.) in biological science and I am intrested in doing research. What are some best suited colleges for Msc. Also what subjects should I chose in Msc.
If you are interested in Research, kindly go ahead and prepare for GATE, IIT-JAM etc. They offer good base for the students who are interested in the research and further studies.
If you want to go ahead for masters choose a field that you are interested in studying. It could be biotechnology, forensic, microbiology, plant technology etc.
Choose according to your interest.
Good Luck!
Whats the difference between BSc Life Science, BSc Biological Science, BSc Bio Medical Science compared to BSc Botany / Zoology? Which one leads to better options for MSc and PhD later?
In answer to your question, first let me explain the difference between these streams, starting with
Botany
- Botany or plant Biology also known as plant science is the scientific study of plant life. Which one among the vital branches of biology, which deals with the study and Research related to plant life. Botany along with the study of plants also include the study of fungi and algae.
- The person who studies botany is known as botanist or a plant scientist.
- It deals with the study of plant structure, growth and differentiation, reproduction biochemistry and primary metabolism, chemical Products etc.
Zoology
- Zoology or animal Biology deals with the study of animal life like botany, even zoology is one among the vital branches of biology which further has its own sub branches.
- The person who studies zoology is called as zoologists or an animal scientist.
- Educe with wast studies related to animal structure, formation, psychological, evolutionary and systematic ethology.
Biomedical sciences
- It is a set of Applied Sciences applying portions of natural science or formal science knowledge, intervention or technology that are to be used in healthcare or public health.
- It combines the field of Biology and medicine in order to focus on the health of both animals and humans.
- As a biomedical science student you will study biochemical and physiological functions, anatomical and histological structures etc.
Now you need to understand is that, All the above three fields are very important and have a very good scope in future.
But all the streams are very different from each other as one deals in plants, other in animals and the third one in medicines so, firstly you need to evaluate what excites you the most was choosing botany will lead you into agriculture and that has a very good scope in future. Selecting zoology willing directly make you a doctor of animals. Opting for biomedical science will lead you into pharmacy and you know how composition some medicines are made and how medicines are useful for Healthcare.
See you need to evaluate your interest that in what particular field you be doing good because knowing what is best is temporary and building a career upon interest is permanent.
What is best among these three will not help you, but building a career based upon your interest will be the key to success.
My advice to you is, first know your interest and strength and based upon it choose your career wisely.
Hope this helps,
WHAT IS TYPHOID.WITH DEFINATION?
Dear,
Typhoid is a bacterial infection that can lead to a high fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. It can be fatal. It is caused by the bacteria Salmonella typhi. The infection is often passed on through contaminated food and drinking water, and it is more prevalent in places where handwashing is less frequent.
It is usually between seven and fourteen days, but can be as short as three days, or as long as 30 days. Untreated, the illness usually lasts for three to four weeks, but may be longer in a small number of cases. Symptoms vary from mild to severe and life-threatening.
Chloramphenicol has been the antibiotic of choice for patients with typhoid fever for more than 30 years, although ampicillin and cotrimoxazole have been introduced as alternatives, they have side effects, and disadvantages of frequent administration and long duration of treatment similar to chloramphenicol therapy.
Hope this helps!
Hey mentors, am done bachelor in microbiology keen to study masters in microbiology at IISC so I need to take IIT JAM isnt IT? but which specification I should go for biologicals science or biotechnology? eve I tried to apply for 2022 IIT JAM the like doesnt have a link for Biological science.
You can pursue M.Sc. Biological Science from IITs and IISC but you must also appear for Biotechnology, because there are more seats in IITs for Biotechnology, and no seat for Biological Sciences in IITs. You will only get admitted to NIT Rourkela or IISc with Biological Sciences.
I hope this helps.
which is good biological science or microbiology for future
Both Biological Science and Microbiology is a good course.
In biological science, where a little from all the subjects included in biology is included in the course work. It basically comprises of classical biology whereas in microbiology the course work comprises of study of micro level species.
Some universities provide both graduation and post graduation courses in Biological Science and related subject as well as in Microbiology.
Both are good courses. But from a personal point of view, Microbiolgy is a good course. It provides a lot of scope in both research and professional fields as well.
Choose what you want to study and as per your interest.
Good Luck!
