Hello Chandhini,
After writing the BITS exam(BITSAT), you can wait for the result and apply for admission to BITS Pilani goa, or Hyderabad campuses based on your score. you'll need to participate in the counselling process and fill in your preferred courses. if the score is low, you can consider other entrance exams or private universities
BITS Pilani and BITS Hyderabad do not accept state board marks for direct admission, except for board toppers. Here’s what you need to know:
Admission Criteria for BITS Pilani/Hyderabad
1. BITSAT Exam – You must qualify for BITSAT, the entrance test for admission.
2. Direct Admission for Board Toppers – Only Telangana state board topper gets direct admission, not all high scorers.
YES, with a GATE score of 534 out of 1000, you do have a chance of securing admission to BITS Pilani (Pilani or Hyderabad campus) for the M.Tech. in Microelectronics or M.Tech. in Embedded Systems program. However admission in BITS Pilani is quite competitive because the cutoffs vary based on several factors. Here i am telling you some previous year cutoff for BITS pilani
If you are aiming for BITS Pilani and are unsure whether your GATE score will be enough for the program you're interested in, you might want to consider preparing for the BITS HD exam. The BITS HD (Higher Degree) exam is an alternative route for admission if you don’t meet the cutoff for direct GATE-based admissions.
for a comparison of M.Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bangalore, and BITS Hyderabad. To determine which is the best option, consider factors such as: Reputation and Faculty: IIIT-H is highly reputed in tech and research, and it has strong industry connections. IIIT-B is known for its emphasis on practical skills and innovation. BITS Hyderabad has a solid reputation and a good blend of research and industry connections.Research Opportunities: IIIT-H is known for research-oriented programs, especially in AI, ML, and Data Science.Placements: All three institutions have strong placement records, but IIIT-H generally has an edge in terms of high-paying tech jobs.Campus and Infrastructure: IIIT-H and IIIT-B both offer modern campuses, but BITS Hyderabad also offers strong infrastructure and facilities.

Hello student,
Since you've already applied to top private colleges like BITS, VIT, Manipal, and COMEDK, you can consider applying to:
These colleges have a good academic reputation and offer strong placement support.
Hello there,
Your son has a strong 95.2% percentile in JEE Mains, which gives him a good chance for CS in decent colleges through COMEDK and Manipal. Here's a clear plan:
Current Applications:
Additional Applications: No need to apply to more private universities unless you want extra backup.
Symbiosis vs Kalinga:
Overall, the current options (Manipal, VIT, COMEDK, BITS) are sufficient for CS. KIIT could be a backup, but Symbiosis is less suitable for CS.
Being a 12th repeater due to illness will not significantly impact your future placements if you perform well in college. Top institutes like IITs, IIITs, NITs, and BITS prioritize skills, academic performance, and internships over past setbacks. While some companies have strict eligibility criteria, many focus on technical knowledge, projects, and experience rather than a gap in 12th grade. To strengthen your profile, maintain good grades, gain relevant skills, and work on internships or projects to showcase your capabilities during placements.
