Usually xii board score for nit and IIT colleges is Minimum 75% in PCM subjects. This year due to Covid 19 pandemic, flexibility is given for xii board score. For IIT and nit admissions you must have passed xii board regardless of marks..

In 2021 you can appear for jee main and try for nit and IIT.

Eligibility - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in Physics chemistry and Mathematics /biology with minimum 75 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board.

You can give BITSAT exam if you want but you won't be allowed for admission in BITS as BITS strictly requires you to have 75% aggregate in PCM. Without that, you aren't eligible for admission in BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Goa Campus or Hyderabad Campus, irrespective of your BITSAT score.

According to your question if you get 1000 rank in BITSAT but haven't 75% in PCM aggregate then you are not allowed to take admission in BITS Pillani. According to their eligibility criteria you must have 75% in PCM aggregate and also at least 60% in every subject that is physics, chemistry and mathematics. Bits give direct admissions through board scores only to the toppers of the different boards, not for all,

If you want a seat then you have to crack BITSAT exam. But yes you can definitely get some schlorships , hence if you are dropping then prepare for BITSAT.
