Books are surely not enough for solving problems in current times you can go for various online judges such as hackerrank, gfg, codechef etc.

It will help you in getting a good knowledge  about this. Also, i would suggest you to upgrade a coding language try to learn c++ because it will help you in learning data structures and competitive coding. So go for it.

Yes you can score better because you got a lot of ideas after prepare with arihant previous year...it's a very old and popular book ..but to get a top it is very important to prepare with the books and your own notes ...a previous year paper will provide you a basic idea of paper model and previously ask questions...

Nodoubt it is very helpful but to score very good you have to go through with your own notes and unsolved problems of books..
