What cat percentile will sureshot get me into fms in cw-5 category with average gdpi extempore? Im in graduation final year doing bba from sscbs, DU. 10th - 8.5 cgpa, 12th - 72.2 science. Would applying from obc category be better? Please help.
Hey,
Generally the percentile required for CW-5 is below than what required for OBC category. OBC candidates requires 95+ percentile in CAT to make through FMS while CW-5 can expect a call at 70+ percentile as well.
Also, the composite score is obviously way lower for cw when compared to obc after extempore and further interview rounds.
Hope this helps.
I have 76% in class 12th and 79% in class 10th. What are my chances at top b-school. How should be my graduation and cat percentile for top b-school?
Hello Aspirant,
With the academic record of class 12th and 10th which you have mentioned in the question you should have at least 98-99 or more percentile in CAT and in graduation you should have good overall performance like on CGPA scale you should have around 8-9 CGPA.

- Lovely Professional University, Phagwara
- Shiv Nadar University, Dadri

- Chandigarh University, Chandigarh

need to check cat percentile into percentage
Hi Dear,
CAT percentile tells a candidate the percentage of a candidate who has scored above or below him/her. The formula to calculate sectional and overall CAT percentile of each candidate is mentioned below:
P = (R/N) × 100
where,
P= Percentile score
R= Rank of the candidate assigned on the basis of scaled CAT score or total number of candidates who rank below you.
N= Number of candidates who appeared in CAT

GEM fresher CAT percentile 99.13(VA 99.5 DILR 68.84 Quants 99.48). What calls to expect among IIT D, Kgp, Madras, NITIE, FMS?
Dear aspirant,
As far as FMS is concerned there is no chance to get a call from this as the sectional cut off is very high according to your score.
But you can accept a call from iit kgp,madras and delhi too. Even nitie is not possible to crack because of your file sectional cut off because it is 80 percentile for each subject.
