i scored 70% in boards cbse class 12 and 75percentile in jee mains january. should i get civil engineering in VIT vellore?
To be eligible for VITEEE, students must have secured aggregate of 60% minimum in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/biology in their class 12th.
As this is the first time that VITEEE was cancelled, this year admissions are going to be done on the basis of merits in class 12. Also students who qualified for JEE mains will get higher preference.
So there is no prior data for this. Please apply for VITEEE the last dat for application form is July 31. The authorities will prepare a merit list. Based on the merit list, students have to visit the counseling center and verify their documents.

You score is quite good at HSC level. So, you are eligible to get admission in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. You also have to score good in JEE Mains. The eligibility criteria for 2020 is:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks and 55% for SC or ST candidates in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject or minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) marks in a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration.

The admissions will be both entrance and merit based. For the entrance based admissions, candidates will have to appear JEE Mains. The candidates who score 60% marks in the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for the admission.

85% of seats in DTU are reserved for candidates who are residents of Delhi and also there is 7.5% reservation for candidates belonging to ST category.

According to your percentile in JEE mains, you rank would be more than 190000 in the common rank list. With this rank you won't be able to get a seat in any government engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Also you won't be able to get into the colleges mentioned by you As you belong from general category and also from outside Delhi region.
So I would request you to go for some top private engineering colleges in India. We cannot the cut off marks for admission to Engineering courses in VIT. Since VITEEE 2020 is cancelled admission is based on class 12/JEE Main 2020 January Score. The cut off depends on number of students applied, number of seats available, performance of candidates in class 12 and JEE Main etc. There will be number of students from different boards applying for VIT so you need to wait until cut off is released.

Sorry to say but you can't get admission in MNIT or IIT as the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in MNIT or IIT is the candidate must be a 10+2 passed out with 75% aggregates, whereas for sc or st category is to have 65% aggregates in 12th std.
