How many times a cell undergoes mitosis to produce 128 daughter cells? a.7 b.14 c.16 d.32
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing great. To create 128 cells, the cell must divide mitotically 7 times. The formula 2n, where n is the number of divisions per cell, determines how many times a cell must divide mitotically. One cell divides into two during mitosis, and both daughter cells have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. 8. The mitosis formula is (2n 2) / 2.

can I do m. sc microbiology or cell biology after b. sc ( zoology, botony, chemistry)
Hi, there
eligibility criteria:
BSc in botany, chemistry, zoology from recognized university and minimum 55% in 12th standard. So, if you are fulfilling the criteria then yes you can pursue m.sc microbiology.
I want to know about those open universities which offers m. sc in microbiology, cell biology and (molecular biology) , environmental science etc.
Here are some best universities which offer msc microbiology, cell biology etc...
GD goenka university is one of the best university which provide msc in environmental science, msc microbiology, msc biotechnology etc. They have high calibered faculty, research facility and emphasis on multidisciplinary, experimental learning. It have international collaboration with top foreign universities.
JNU university offers msc microbiology, msc cell biology, life science, genetics ect.
BHU Banaras Hindu University is an other option for Msc in microbiology with good infrastructures, faculties and placement opportunities.
Calcutta university, pondichery university, North east university,Goa university also offer msc microbiology course.
IISC Bangalore, IISER also provide integrated phd programs. Privet universities like VIT vellor, Amity university noida, LPU also offer this course.
Department of Microbiology, University of Delhi
placement after mtech research in microbiology and cell biology
Hello
After doing Mtech in microbiology and sel biology candidate can do research obtained PhD degree on this subject to microbiology. After doing and achieving that mention degrees a candidate can get appointment as microbiologist urologist bacteriologist, parasytologist, environmental microbiologist, industrial microbiology list and so many. The salary of these candidate who has achieved M tech in
research work in microbiology 6.60lacs per annum.
Hope this will help.
Is pili help in some bacteria to atach to rock and host tissue
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
The Monera is divided into three subkingdoms: cyanobacteria, archaea, and eubacteria (also known as true bacteria). Bacteria, especially pathogenic bacteria, have filamentous appendages that help them attach to host cells. This thread-like structure is made up of pilin proteins. This appendage is known as cilia. Fimbria is shorter than pili. Pili is also made up of piling protein. Pili helps bacteria to transfer genetic material during conjugation. Rhizoid is a rootlike structure present in liverwort, mosses, and fungi to provide attachment to the substance. Mesosomes help to increase the area of bacterial cells. It is a folded cavity or pouch in the cell membrane. Algae have a rootlike structure for attachment with moist stones, soils, and wood. This rootlike structure in algae is holdfast.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck.
scope of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine
Hello there
It's a very complex career choice and also very unique for those who want to make a difference in the field of of medical sciences.
As you must be knowing that regenerative medicines involves the use of scientific research for the creation of functional tissues for the requirement and also for the replacement of the parts of the body which is damaged by disease or by any incident.
As this field is expanding very fastly so there are various career choices in it like as:
- Tissue engineer
- Nanotechnologist
- Geneticist
- Bioethicist
And much more....
To know more about the fields and career options you can refer the link I am attaching below:
I hope it helps you!
Thank you!
what are the factor that affects the growths of micro organisms ( bacteria)
- Hello
Hope you are doing good.
Some of the important factors affecting bacterial growth are:
Nutrition concentration.
Temperature.
Gaseous concentration.
pH.
Ions and salt concentration.
Available water.
Hope it is helpful for you.

can i do Msc cell biology in delhi, after my bsc microbiology?
The answer to this is YES!
Anyone with a graduation degree in any of the biology course can pursue can Master's in any of the biology course but if you want to seek specialization in microbiology, then Master's in Microbiology is good.
As a far as cell biology is concerned, it is a part of specialization related to the microbiology field only with main emphasis on the cell and its organization.
