• Self Supporting Category (U.T. of Puducherry) filled by College- 10 seats Under this Category, 10 seats are allotted to the candidates of the U.T. of Puducherry and the selection procedure is as follows: i) Candidate should be a Native of the U.T. of Puducherry ii) These 10 seats will be charged an additional fee of Rs.1.00 Lakh as Institutional Development Fees per year payable for every year of study. iii) If seats fall vacant under this category, they will be filled with the wait listed candidates of Self-Supporting Category (National) with the fees applicable to Self-Supporting Category (National).
• Self-Supporting Category (National) filled by College - 12 Seats Under this category, candidates from any part of India, willing to study for the same fees as prescribed for the NRI category candidates. Selection of students is done based on NEET score. If any seat falls vacant under this category, the same will be filled from the merit list of NRI candidates.

Selection of the candidates in all the categories is done by CENTAC.

Since you are a native of Tamilnadu, you can definitely apply for Tamilnadu college counselling. If you have studied at Puducherry till 12th std, you can avail a domicile certificate and that will make you eligible to apply for Centac in Jipmer as well. At both Tamilnadu and Puducherry, you will be eligible for 85% reservation in home state quota.

Management Quota Seats are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling.
