what is the difference between ba in culinary arts and bsc in culinary arts? if i want to become a chef or( start a hotel in future)which degree would be best for me?
Hi,
BA in culinary arts will teach you all about the modern and trending food technologies as well as traditional foods. It is basically all work related to food and kitchen.
Whereas, on the other hand BSc in culinary arts will teach you about food as well as the hospitality and management of the hotel or a restaurant.
Therefore, if you want to become a chef and then later on after some experience you want to open your own restaurant, so you should opt for BSc in culinary arts.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the best.

BA Culinary or BHM , which is better to study to become a Chef?
BHM or Bachelor of Hotel Management have a more professional curriculum & practice technique compared to that of BA Culinary. Also as BHM is designed more professional course type, the placements are higher in this course compared to that of BHM. Can I become chef after hospitality management and tourism management? Is NITHM college good?
Hello there
Of course you can become a chef as you must have any food production as a core subject in your curriculum as you have studied hospitality but if in case if you haven't as most of the hospitality courses doesn't then I would suggest you to do one year diploma in culinary arts and fine-tune which will embark you and will make you skillful to become a chef. Also you can try to get an internship in any hotel to learn various skills related to it.
Talking about the college which you have mentioned named National Institute of tourism and Hospitality Management is a very good college which imparts great education in the field of hospitality and management if you want to go into that career and according to your question I can guess you want to. This college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and is approved by AICTE.
