what is the difference between degree in chemistry and chemical science ?
Hello,
Chemistry is a fundamental discipline that investigates the structure, constitution, and characteristics of matter. Chemistry describes how the chemical bonding of individual atoms combine to produce chemical compounds in matter, which is made up of many atoms.
A Chemical Science is a systematic body of knowledge that records the structures, characteristics, and composition of diverse substances as a result of chemical reaction or bonding. Water, for example, is created by a chemical interaction between 1 molecule of oxygen and 2 molecules of hydrogen.
MSc Chemistry students at the majority of Indian institutions spend one semester (two semesters/one year) on a research project (in IITs, it may be two semesters/one year). An MS (Chemical Science) student, on the other hand, often spends nearly two years working on research projects.
Both the degrees are equally important and provide doors to employment in Indian and international institutions as well as in industry.
Hope it helped
Thank you

Degree in Chemical Science degree exposes students to all sub-disciplines in Chemistry, but provides extra flexibility in course selection than in Chemistry degree.
Chemistry is a branch of physical sciences as it studies about the structure, composition and properties of matter.

can a msc 1st year student crack csir net chemical science.... if yes,, I have a doubt that csir exam contains more on msc syllabus or bsc 1st,2nd ,3rd syllabus????...
Many students nowadays crack the CSIR itself after there BSc. Now as per my analysis the CSIR NET exam usually have syllabus more about BSc and moderate about MSc. So if you have proper background then you can obviously crack CSIR NET.
