However, the 6+ years of experience you have in the civil service will not be taken into account. In the field of IT, you will have to start from scratch. However, it will necessitate returning to school and obtaining a new degree. The equivalent of two years' worth of civil engineering work may be transferred. Well in India girls do opt for civil engineering but the professional life in the same field is very hectic.  It's a field job and requires a lot of patience, energy and strength to manage the actual work on the site.

Where as if I compare banking jobs then the working hours are less, you work under a roof and most importantly it is considered to be safe and easy. Plus you can manage your professional and personal life as well.
