i have 325 gate score in 2025 from CE. i am from SC category so which nit, new iits and state university i shell get for mtech . i am from delhi.
Hello Seema,
With a GATE score of 325 in Civil Engineering (CE) and being from the SC category, you have good chances of getting into various reputed institutes. Here's a breakdown of potential options for M.Tech admission:
1.
Top NITs (National Institutes of Technology):
-
NIT Delhi : As you're from Delhi, NIT Delhi could be a strong option, considering your category and GATE score.
-
NIT Trichy (NIT Tiruchirappalli) : It might be slightly competitive, but you can get into branches other than the top ones in Civil Engineering.
-
NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut, NIT Surathkal : While your chances in these institutes will depend on the branch preference, your score places you in a good position for several Civil Engineering specializations.
2. New IITs:
-
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad : A decent chance to get Civil Engineering specialization.
-
IIT Patna, IIT Roorkee : These newer IITs have good infrastructure and a growing reputation for Civil Engineering.
-
IIT Gandhinagar : A potential option, though the competition might be high.
3. State Universities:
-
Delhi Technological University (DTU) : As you're from Delhi, DTU could be an option for your M.Tech in Civil Engineering.
-
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), Delhi : Offers M.Tech courses in various branches, including Civil Engineering, and has a fair chance with your score.
-
University of Delhi (DU) : They also offer M.Tech courses in collaboration with various departments.
4. Other Universities (in Delhi/NCR):
-
Indraprastha University (IPU) : They may offer M.Tech courses through GATE scores, and you can consider applying there.
-
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) : Also another option in Delhi NCR.

Mam what about CE or Electrical ?
Hello ,
I am assuming that you are asking about comparison between both the branches of engineering. See , CE branch is a subset of electrical branch in which you will study about software more. But in electrical branch you have to deal with the networks, power system, software and hardware both. Both branches have good scope in jobs.
I hope this helps you !!

i get rt in 12 Account its by additional subject and apply improvement in account but i get rt another time what should I do and can i apply for ce in future
If you got RT (Reappear in Theory) in Accountancy, which was your additional subject in Class 12, and you applied for improvement but got RT again, here's what you can do:
1. You can appear for the Compartment Exam in Accountancy, which will be held a few months after the main board exams. This will give you another chance to clear the subject and improve your overall result
2. For the Compartment Exam you will need to pay an additional fee and fill out the compartment form.
3. If you clear the Compartment Exam your result will be updated, and you will be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses like B.Com, BBA, etc.
4. If you fail to clear Accountancy even in the Compartment Exam, you can still apply for admission to CE (Correspondence Education) courses offered by CBSE in the future
5. CE courses allow you to reappear in the failed subject(s) along with the main board exams in subsequent years until you clear them
So in summary, your best option is to focus on clearing Accountancy in the upcoming Compartment Exam. If you still don't clear it, you can always apply for CE courses to reappear in the subject and improve your chances of getting admission to your desired undergraduate program.
I have Diploma in civil Engineering and have been working since 2 years , I want do Btech from any good private college with low mid budget. Can someone suggest some college and process?
Great decision to upgrade your qualification! Given your work experience, a BTech can significantly boost your career.
For affordable options, consider:
- State-level private universities: These often offer BTech programs at lower costs compared to private deemed universities.
- Colleges affiliated with state universities: These might have lower fee structures.
- Government engineering colleges: While competitive, some might offer lateral entry programs for diploma holders.
Admission Process:
- Entrance exams: Prepare for state-level engineering entrance exams like those conducted by state examination boards.
- Direct admission: Some colleges might offer direct admission based on diploma marks, but competition can be high.
- Lateral entry: If eligible, explore lateral entry options for direct admission to second-year BTech.
Research thoroughly: Check college websites, rankings, placement records, and fee structures. Consider factors like location, specializations offered, and infrastructure.
