Hello Dear,
The CMA programme, short for Cost Management Accounting is one of the most viable programmes in the finance sector. Becoming a CMA requires you to have a bachelor's degree from any stream except arts. A student who is in the final year of the bachelor's program may also pursue CMA, however, he/she will require to then get a degree along with two years of relevant experience to attain the certification. Hello,
Challan receipt will be required while filling the form at your CMA centre, so what you can do is you can go to the bank where you have received the challan again and ask them for help. They can help you to get a copy if possible.
can you give me more information on CMA course?
Yes, definitely it is worth doing CMA in India (assuming CMA India you are referring to)
CMA has a varied skills across many fields such as Costing, management accounting, audit, taxation, corporate law.
If you are looking for an employment some MNC treat CMA on par with CA as regards with the package. CMAs are generally recruited as controller, analyst… roles.
If you are looking up for a practice the recent developments may help you in practice such as GST audit, cost audit (old and exclusive). Even institute has approached Finance Ministry for Inclusion of CMA professionals for eligibility of tax audit under DTC code.
My final take is if you are looking to settle immediately in your life go for CMA or if you can wait you can opt for CA as articleship is compulsory under CA.
PS. The above is my personal opinion.
Us it beneficial to do USA CMA course with MBA and CFA?
Yes you can pursue cost management accounting course along with MBA. However since you are already preparing for CFA, I'll recommend you not to overburden yourself with too many things as all the three courses are hard and requires proper studies and time. But in case you are able to manage your time then yes you can of course go for cma with mba as it'll enhance your technical skills and you'll get an edge over other mba students.
Good luck
What is the USA CMA course and is it beneficial?
Greetings, aspirant!
The CMA course is offered by Institute of Management Accountants, USA, the worldwide association of accountants and professionals with a finance background.
This course is recognised by most MNCs and Institutions throughout the world. The course is about a year long and consists of 2 papers. The maximum duration granted by the IMA once a candidate registers is 3 years.
The eligibility criteria to apply for the course is:-
- Candidate should have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university
- A minimum 2 years of work experience as a management accountant or equivalent post of financial background.
The salary of a CMA in India would be around 4-6LPA for a fresher. This salary would go up as one's experience does.
One of the differences between US CMA and Indian CMA is the duration which is about 6m-1y for US CMA while it is 3-4y for Indian CMA. Another difference is the recognition they receive, which is global for US CMA whereas it is national to Indian CMA.
Hope this information helps
