hii M completed b.sc and diploma in interior designing(3 yrs) is it enough to eligible for CEED exam..?
Hey Aniket!
CEED 2020 eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualifications is as follows:-
• A candidate with any recognized degree/diploma/post graduate degree program of 4 years or 3+2 years(after 10+2 level) or 3 years after 10+2 can apply.
• Candidates in their final year or who are awaiting their results can also apply for the same.
• Also GD Arts Diploma candidates who have passed the program by July 2020 can apply.
Hope it helps.
I have done B Arch from VNIT Nagpur in1998 .I am planning to appear for CEED and persue Mdes industrial design from IIT Delhi after working as design architect for 20 years and worked on commercial projects till date. Will the masters degree in industrial design help me.Will that be a right decision
I don't think that doing masters at this age would be of any benefit. Even after doing your masters you are going to give your 2 years and after that your age will be an actor and you cannot start your career at the age better you can use your experience and get promotion by your work because degree wont help you at this age.
The other factors is that you need to give time to prepare for the exam at this is it is not very ideal age to prepare for competitive exam in also there is not any guarantee of success in the exam.
what stream should I choose in iit Bombay or in iit Madras or iit delhi kharagpur or in any iits or I can get admission in iit bombay through uceed or ceed or gate ,if yes than please tell me that what is the procedure that how I can take admission because this year i am in class 11.................
hi,
see gate and ceed exam is not for you as you are in 11th , gate or ceed exam can be attempted by candidates who are already graduate or in final year of graduation in relevant discipline.
as you want to take admission in iits, you need to apply for uceed exam which is the undergraduate design entrance of iits, also you need to apply for jee main exam, which is the common entrance test of engineering, basis on jee main score candidates may appear in jee advance exam, which is the gate way entrance exam of admission in iits for btech courses.
hope it would help.
can a 12th passed apply for CEEd?
So as per this only 12 th pass candidate is not eligible to apply for CEED.
I hope it will help you more.
Thanks.
I have M.com degree, can I upload the same for ceed exam form? Or will I have to upload B.com?
hi,
you can upload only b.com or b.com +m.com , both will go.
But see there is no use of ceed exam for you as iits dont give admission to candidates who don't have engineering / design/ architechture/mtech/mca or professional diploma in design back ground.
SEE the official brochure to know about different iits eligibility criteria.
is exam pattern for CEED and NIFT same?
The exam pattern of both the exams is little different.
CEED examination ( conducted by IIT , Bombay) consists of 2 sections- A and B. Section A will contain 41 questions and section be will contain 5 questions( 20 marks each question). Both section will be of 100 marks each. Part A will be computer based and B will be pen- paper based.
Part A will be a screening test and those who qualify part A will be evaluated for part B.
And for NIFT , the GAT paper for B.Des will consist of 100 questions and the total marks of examination is also 100. And for B.F.Tech, the number of questions will be 150. The exam is offline, paper based.
And CAT paper will consist of 3 questions and marks will be out of 100.
Admission in B.F.Tech will be fully based on GAT whereas for B.Des the weightage of CAT is 50% , GAT is 30% and situation test will be of 20%.
Though, the syllabus is quite similar for both the examinations (CEED And NIFT)
Hope this helps!

Hello Sir, I am Loganathan, it took me an extra 6 months to clear my B.Tech because of my backlogs, and I also got a pretty low score of 56%. Will this be any kind of problem if I clear CEED with a good percentile to get admission in IITs?? Looking forward to your reply. Thank You.
hello aspirant,
its completely fine if you are preparing for ceed exam. however there is no percentile or age limit for ceed exam. but different institute has different graduation marks criteria for admission in m. design. like iit delhi needs atleast 60% marks in graduation , 55% for sc/st. so if you are from general category you will not eligible to apply. as per your score you can apply in iit bombay, iit guwahati, iit hyderabad, iit kanpur, but you need to bring a really good score in ceed exam, unless as per your profile there is very little chances of selection.
