Although rank varies every year. It depends on number of candidates appeared in the examination, highest marks obtained in a particular year, total number of available seats. Generally you need to secure 6000 rank that is required to get a top ranking govt college. Even 10,000 rank is sufficient to get admitted to a low ranking govt college.

Diploma in computer science and engineering is a 3 year course with 6 semesters.

Engineering mathematics, applied physics and chemistry, communication skill, fundamentals of electronic,database management,  system software, computer graphics, data analysing  are all some of the subjects.

Students after 10 who attain a minimum age of 15 can apply for this course. Thete are government polytechnic colleges offering admission mainly via entrance exam or merit. Private can reach upto 3L.
