what are the skills in computer required for making an operating system??
Hi,
The three most important things you need to master prior to jumping into OS development are: Basic computer science knowledge; Computer programming theory and best-practices; Low-level and a high-level programming languages .
Programmer can interact with the hardware by making device drivers in C or C++ language. Most of the Windows drivers are written in C/C++ languages. Whereas Linux drivers are made into C programming language. So, the very basic necessity of making drivers or operating system is to have good command over a programming language depending upon what are you going to create.
Also, you should know concepts like Data Structures and Classes as they will help you in making different components of the drivers and the operating system. You should also know concepts like looping and iterations as they come handy in writing long segments of code which will be required if you are creating an operating system or a highly integrated device driver.
Before proceeding to create an operating system or a device driver your concepts regarding the programming language should be very clear. You will encounter many bugs and errors in the programming code and if you know the programming language in depth, you will be able to tackle the problems very easily. So, you should work on that before proceeding further. Once your concepts are clear and firm, you can move on to creating a small game or program. If that is created successfully, start working on device drivers or OS. It is a difficult task but not an impossible one. You can do it with lots of hard work and dedication.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
what should I do after 12th science I am not interested in medical I am interested in Computer technology I dont understand which course I have to do?
There are plenty of options after 12 if you are interested in computer science.
Even if you were not a computer student in school, its absolutely fine to start undergraduate program in computers.
You need to select the institutions, shortlist them, pass the grades of the entrance tests (if any), consider the affordabillity finance factor etc and look into the courses.Since, you are good in Computers then I would personally suggest you to choose Engineering field.
•BTech or BE in computer science engineering
BTech or BE in computer science engineering (CSE) is a course of four years(8 semesters). In this course, we study about topics related to computer programming and networking, algorithms, programming languages, computation, computer-hardware systems, computer software and program design.
You can get hired as software developers, data scientists and software engineers.
•BTech in Information Technology (IT)
IT engineering course focuses on information theory and management. It is a four-year course covering computer science, engineering mechanics and mathematics, operating systems, software project management and microprocessors. After completing a BTech (IT), you can test products or focus on web and software development or work as IT specialists and office administrators.
•Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
A BCA is a three-year course that teaches you about various aspects of software development and basic computer application.
During your BCA degree, subjects like database management, web technology, operating systems, software engineering, and languages like HTML, Java, and C++ are taught. After completing your BCA, some careers you can pursue are application analyst, data analyst, information system manager, IT consultant, database administrator, network administrator, mobile application developer and big data analyst.
•Bachelor of Science (BSc) in computer science
BSc is another three-year course that includes computer application, computer science and its services. You will study subjects related to programming, architecture, computer networking and core subjects like system programming, data structures and web technology.
Some typical job roles to pursue after a BSc course are system architect, web developer, mobile app developer, software engineer, website designing, data analyst and network engineer.
Computer Science or Information Technology could be beneficial for you and these two branches have a broad scope. CS Graduates are paid higher in comparison to all other branches of engineering. However, if you pursue your course from a reputed institute like IIT, NIT or IIIT then you may easily get a job in Multi National Company.
Good luck!
Thank You.

Im a science computer student may i take software engineer without maths
Hi there,
Yes you can become a software engineer if you have not taken maths in your class 12th. But you must understand that without maths you will not be able to pursue Bachelor of technology course as this course requires physics, chemistry and mainly mathematics. So, mathematics is a must subject.
Still, you are able to become a software engineer, all you need to do is to apply for BCA course because through this course a student is eligible to go for software and it related job roles that will eventually make you an engineer.
Also, you can pursue diploma in computer science but the jobs are limited and also the salary package is not good. B.Tech is preferred more.
I hope this information will help you. Thank you and very good luck!!!
