I have recently completed Masters for Construction Management course at IIT Delhi and am currently working at a Construction company. Which specialisation would suit according to my profile I have, for 2 year course? Pardon me for grammatical errors in the Question.
Hello,
You have already completed a Master's degree from a prestigious institute like IIT Delhi and i am sure you must be working with a good firm. So, now what you need to is that you should work for atleast 3 years and gain experience and most importantly acquire knowledge. Once you reach top positions like Construction Engineer,Senior Manager – Construction,Building Services Director, Chief Construction Officer etc. then you will earn very handsomely and the thing with Construction industry is that the more time you give and experience you acquire, the more growth you will see in future. In the meantime if you are interested in pursuing any other degree, i would suggest you to do any online course in Entrepreneurship, because this will not only give you an extra degree but also ideas if you would want to have your own company in future.Apart from this i don't see any other degree would help you much.
I hope this helps.
what is the difference between mba in construction management and mba in project management???or is it same?? which of these mba do you think is suitable for a civil engineer??
I wouldnt say Construction Management and Project Management are same, but they are comparable courses and support your Engineering Degree preferably in Construction/Civil Engineering with aspects of Management. The basic Difference is, after MBA in Project Management, you have wider scope and impetus regarding career prospects, be it PSUs, Mining & Metals Industry, Automobile Industry or Infrastructure & Energy Industry, whereas Construction Management limits your career scope to Civil/Construction/Infrastructure Sectors.
I have got AIR 331 in Architecture paper in Gate 2021. What are my chances of getting admission in M.Tech Construction management in IIT Delhi and IIT Madras...Is there any chance I can get into these colleges...
hi,
see cutoff score varies every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix for any particular stream, candidate category etc. based on previous years cutoff and considering you as general category, you have no chances in iit delhi for construction management. do mention you gate score so that we may look for other institute cutoff .

I have done my graduation in Civil Engineering and after that MBA in Construction Management from RICS. I have Gate score of 500 and rank AIR 593 in AR discipline. I am looking for short-duration programs after MBA. Any suggestions?
hello,
Actually gate score is mostly evaluated for admission to m.tech, mba or integrated phd, study in abroad for Master of science program , recruitment in public sector hiring etc. however for short duration courses you may not find very much priority or benefits based on gate score. now after mba you may join for skill based training program in private coaching center or online program, however there is less chances for admission based on gate score.

what should I do? Construction management or Structure engineer?for M.Tech
Hello,
Construction management
Construction management is a promising career with growing job opportunities. Construction management is a professional service that provides a project's owner(s) with effective management of the project's schedule, cost, quality, safety, scope, and function. Construction management is compatible with all project delivery methods.
- Construction Manager who has working experience of more than 3 lakh can earn around INR 7 lakh per annum.
- Salary will depend on the skills and company you are hired in.
structure Engineer
Structural engineering is a sub-discipline of civil engineering in which structural engineers are trained to design the 'bones and muscles' that create the form and shape of man-made structures.
- In general, structural engineers charge somewhere between $100 and $150 per hour for their services. The first hour may be even more expensive than that, depending on the case.
- The average salary for a Structural Engineer in India is 492186
These career choices don't work in India and do not have most scope.
But comparing these jobs and th salary structure Engineering pays more.
Hope this helps!!!
