Mtech in construction management similar to PGDM?
The basic difference between M.Tech in Construction Management and PGDM or MBA in the same is that M.Tech course is more focussed on the technical aspects whereas PGDM or MBA in Construction Management is more focussed on the management side.
Though about 50% of both the courses are similar.
M.Tech in Construction Management has subjects like Quantity Surveying, Project Management Systems and Techniques, Contracts Management, Equipment Management, Quality Management, Material Management, Estimation, Health and Safety Management, Operations Management.
While PGDM in Construction Management has subjects like Accounting, Construction Economics, Real Estate Marketing, Project Marketing, Business Development, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Property Management, Asset Management, Finance.

both the courses diploma in construction management and post graduate diploma in same are referred as diploma courses, but the difference is that post graduate diploma is considered as high course than that of only diploma course , and post graduate course is done after completing your graduation but diploma can be done after completing your 10th standard.

I got a rank of 106(general category) in KIIT M.tech civil engineering. Is this a good or a bad rank as I dont have an idea as how much appeared for the entrance. Does this rank will get me a seat in Structure or Construction management. And also does the KIIT provides scholarship to Gate qualified
Hey,Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam is known as KIITEE.Its conducting every year to select candidate to get into KIIT University,BBSR. KIITEE it's a national level online based exam. It's conducted by KIIT University for the admission to course like management, engineering, nursing and other courses. KIITEE is the computer based exam. The negative marking 1marks for each wrong answer.
For qualifying marks for categories are GE-50%,SC/ST/OBC-40%, Physically Challenged-45%, Reserved Category-40%.
I think it's the very good rank and the chances are very high you selected for the M.tech civil engineering.

hello, i got 2679 rank in vitmee2020. can i get a seat in mtech structural engineering or construction management in both vellore and Chennai campuses
The cut off may vary year on year because the rank you get on VITMEE score card is general one, which means
If there are 50 seats for structural and the people before you may or may not be applying for structural engineering.
The cutoff mark for vellore branch is around 800- 900 (first category) and upto rank 1500(second category).
For Chennai campus it is 1000 - 1300(first category) and upto 2000(second category).
