Based on covid situation, only 2 attempts have only been held for Jee mains , out of those 2 , i have got 89 percentile. What is the best college can i get at this percentile in 2021? And is there any option i can get into NIT Rourkela in a low branch as HS and EWS Quota?
Hello Aspirant,
If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 112530 - 126500 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
Or
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-
Closing EWS rank for NIT Rourkela was :-
Food Process Engineering branch - 17025 (Home state quota)
And your EWS rank is expected to be around 17,000
So you have good chances to get NIT Rourkela with Food Process branch.
But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 32-93 then you might have a shot at some other branches too in NIT Rourkela.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Can i pursue MBA. I am 31 and after graduation i had 2.10 years of gap and had employment after that due to covid i left the job. currently i am having 3.7 years of experience my last month of job was july 2020 and my starting month was november 2016.
Hello
An MBA can be pursued by anyone who has a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised college. The age is not a barrier for pursuing MBA. You can do it at any stage of your life and there are different courses for different level of work experience too. Let me tackle the question step by step.
- Age of 31 years - As I said, age is not at all a barrier. In lot of MBA colleges we see students who had huge experience or were preparing for some other competitive exams like Civil services due to which they get delyed in admission into MBA.
- Gap of 2 years - I am sure you have a valid reason for this gap. A gap is not a big negative in the profile. However, you will need to justify it properly in your interviews. Also after joining MBA, while you sit for interviews to companies, there also you maybe asked about the gap. Just be sure to justify the gap.
- Workex of 3.7 years - This is a very strong point in your profile. An experience of 2+ is considered very good. Due to this you will be shortlisted by lot of companies. You are also eligible for some profiles which are not open for freshers. We see that lot of companies like to recruit graduates with pre-MBA work experience as that gives them the much needed industry exposure. Even colleges prefer students with work experience for diversity. The add value to classroom discussions due to their real life experience and exposure at industry level.
- Leaving job due to Covid - I'm sorry to hear this. In terms of admissions to MBA colleges, the interview will definitely understand the reasons for this is the pandemic and you are no way at fault here. However, I hope you have done something productive in the past few months like preparing for exam. Alongside, I would also suggest you to take up some internship in a startup or some live projects or freelance projects to strengthen your profile further. These can be unpaid internships too. They will boost your resume.
All the best

as covid cases are decreasing a little bit so shall we start giving jee main mock test or still we can continue our full syllabus revision if we were doing so ?
Hello,
Actually it's depends on you dear. If you think that mock test are good for you practicing the syllabus then you can give it. If you think you will go for revision the full syllabus and it will help you then go for it.
And covid cases are reducing by May last it's a normal statistics. But it's totally depends on us how we are obey the guidelines. So no-one tell you when everything will be normal.
All the best.
i have my 12th board practicals from 4th of april, and i have tested positive for covid. will i be able to give my exam later ?
Hi Aspirants,
You may try contacting the school authorities regarding the same.Since it is a board exam there is a high chance that you need to reappear for the next year on the ground of illness and concession. The practicals can also be managed if the school authority wants however in written exams you need to be present.Dont worry too much take care of yourself.Maintain quarantine and get well soon.
Hope it helps!!
if a person is in contact with covid person then they will allow to give exam to that person
Hello,
I don't think that if somebody is clearing showing the symptoms of COVID-19 then he/she will be permitted to appear for the exam. Because he/she might affect other Candidates too. It would be very risky for the other students. Exam authority will not let the others get infected just because of one person.
Good Luck.

Im a petroleum engineering student. as you know there is again covid situation come all over the country thats why there is no industrial training is available offline all the training are available online but we cant learn in online training then what can I do now for secure my future.
Hi Shubham!
Yes, you are absolutely right! In this pandemic situation, companies are not even allowing their own employees to work from office, so they cannot allow other students at their place for training. I would suggest you to gain the knowledge in online mode, you can get the videos or lectures of all the equipment used in the field in online mode. But if you want to add a certificate of internship in your CV, then online internship is a good option in this pandemic situation.
Hope it helps to clear your dilemma, thankyou!
