I secured 50069 rank in UPSEE.Can i get in first round of counssling into UIET KANPUR for matalurgical engineering because yesterday i filled my first choice matalurgical engineering. PLEASE HELP!?

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University(CSJMU)offers B.Sc agriculture and admission in the course requires a candidate to have passed 10+2 examination with Science stream.
Admission in conducted based on entrance examination based on which merit list is declared.
The issue is with your age because you have done your 12th a very long time ago.So, i would've suggest to talk to college authorities regarding and matter, they might help you with what you should do next.

In the second year, change of branch may be allowed to a limited number of students
on the basis of their academic performance in the first year subject to the departmental
strength constraints. No department shall exceed the maximum sanctioned strength or
fall below 60% of the sanctioned strength in a particular branch of that year as a result
of branch changes. Branch change is a privilege and not a right and will be considered for meritorious students subject to the constraints mentioned above. Requests for change of branch should be made to the Chairperson, APEC, at the end of the secondsemester. The students seeking branch change must not have any backlog and musthave a CPI equal to or greater than 8.00 at the end of the first two semesters.

Now, as per seeing the previous year cut off Trend, you can easily get your preferred branch - metallurgical and materials engineering in uiet Kanpur.
Last year the highest cutoff closing rank for metallurgical and materials engineering branch in uiet Kanpur was - 56048. For cse branch the closing rank was - 8095. And for IT branch the cutoff closing rank was - 16401.
And other branches like electronics and communication engineering had a closing rank of - 18783.
So there is a high chance that you can get only metallurgical and materials engineering branch in uiet Kanpur. And other than this branch you can't get any branch in uiet kanpur.

As per the official website of the college, there are only 400 seats in the boys hostel, so I'd say that your getting a hostel would depend upon your merit scores, and it can't be guaranteed that you'd definitely get one. If you need any more help then drop a comment.
