after completing 10+2 which is better 1.b.sc in agriculture or 2.b.tech dairy technology . for govt job
Hi Aspirant,
Both the degrees mentioned (BSc in Agriculture and B. Tech in Dairy) has immense potential and stands firm when it comes to placements. In case of government jobs too, both the courses give you immense opportunities. For government jobs in general sectors (including banks), both the degrees give you equal opportunities, however, if you have any special roles in mind that might be filtered based on the degree.
Again, if you (in future) change your mind and want placements in private firms, then B. Tech will be the best option.
All that said, if government job is what you are only looking for decide based on the following factors:
- Which course do you prefer more.
- Ranking of the college where you want to study / are getting the course.
Hope this cleared your doubt.
can anynoe suggest me that after completing my 10+2 exam which course I have to choose 1.b.sc in horticultural or 2. b.tech in dairy technology
See both the courses are good. But if you want to choose a course which is more job related then I would recommend you to go for BTech Diary Technology. The course is more job likely and you can expect a job after passing the course. But in case of BSc Horticulture to get a settled job you need to go for some specialization or you need to acquire some experience else its very hard for you to get a job just after BSc course. Thus I would recommend if you want to pursue a course which is job related then go for BTech Diary Technology.

iam studying btech dairy technology i need to do mtech which was best course mtech dairy technology or mtech food technology which will give more package and job opportunities
Hi Vishnu,
Since you're doing a B. Tech in Dairy Technology, assuming you've interests in the course, it will be advisable to do an M. Tech in the same domain.
This is because any branch you choose, if you come under the top 5 percentiles and if you have a real passion for the subject, sooner or later you'll have great package at hand, however the reverse is not true always.
Now, if you're someone who is not very much into Dairy Tech and is okay to switch branches, then Food Tech will be a better option as number of jobs available is lot more and also the placements are better.
Work on your priorities and choose wisely.
Hope this was helpful.
which field has scope in future btech in food tech or btech in dairy tech???
Dear leaner,
Both branch is like two eyes in food science technology ,while comparison both has equally occupied jobs ,and offers ,but lastly food technology wins ,
Btech food technology is more prominent than btech dairy science as their will be jobs right after completion of the degree .
The average salary states 4.25 lakhs - 10 lakhs per year and have huge scope in industrial sector .
Coming to btech dairy science the students had scope in dairy factory which is very few in number, that seems less employment, they mostly learn about production, process, quality assurance
The minimum salary starts from 15,000- 25,000 per month ,
All the best.

i am studying b.voc dairy technology am i eligible to study Msc in food technology or msc in dairy technology?
Hello Adity,
Yes, you may study Master of Science (M.Sc) after B. Voc but you must also study M.Voc for that. As mo st of the Colleges doesn't allow M.Sc after B.Voc. Only very few Colleges allow to do M.Sc after B.Voc. So it depends on the College you select to join whether you can directly study M.Sc in Food Technology or M.Sc in Diary Technology without M.Voc degree after B.Voc in Diary Technology.
I Hope this helps.
Best of Luck!!
