The GATE exam is open to anyone who has already completed a degree programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or the Arts that has been approved by the government. Students from commerce and arts background, can also sit for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering if they meet the educational requirements for the GATE exam.

You can opt for any degree while doing Company Secretary. But I would suggest you to go for either for Bcom ( if you are from commerce background) or LLB as the course in LLB will be somewhat similar to CS course to some extent.

Yes you can apply for scholarship from Gujarat state for your degree course if you have got good score or you are from ebc category.

For getting scholarship from Gujarat state you will need domicile of Gujarat state as you are a resident  of Gujarat,  you must be having domicile of the state.

Eligibility for getting scholarship for degree course in Gujarat state is that the  candidate must be Gujarat domiciled and must achieve 80% marks in class xii from any recognized state of India. EBC category student can also get this scholarship.

You will be allowed to pursue degree in economics on the basis of your class xii marks.

Eligibility for pursuing degree in economics is that you have passed class xii with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university from any stream.

But as you have mentioned that you are mbbs graduate but you want to go with economics  then you can pursue bsc in economics

Eligibility for bsc economics - The candidate must be xii pass from a reputed university. You can also do BE in economics  or B.com in economics.

. Mbbs is a medical course , you can go for economics only if you have strong base in economics and interest in it.
