is it mandatory to add mathematics in top 4 subjects for du jat this year particularly?
Dear Aspirant,
We hope you have applied online your application as it ends on 04/07/2020. Please read the admission bulletin which gives you entire details on, please read from page 5 http://du.ac.in/du/uploads/COVID-19/24062020_UG.pdf
From the above pdf file:
The detailed course specific criteria are in sections 2.2 – 2.9:
1. All academic subjects may be treated as “elective.” The subjects eligible for computation (subject to course-specific criteria) are listed above in List A and List B.
2. The University may define any other relevant subjects as academic/elective for a particular course. 3. Merit is calculated through course-specific combinations of marks obtained in the qualifying examination in the “Best Four” subjects for admission to courses through the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Mathematical Sciences, Music, Social Sciences, Applied Social Sciences & Humanities, and course-specific combinations of “Three Subjects” for admission to courses under the faculties of Sciences and Applied Sciences.
Mathematics as an elective will depend on the subject you want to study e.g. Literature – then you don’t need to show the best 4.
Good Luck

Through this paper can I get admisson in B.C.A. through Delhi Unversity?
Hey Aryan,
Sorry but Delhi University do not provide the course Bachelors of Computer Application (B.C.A) in any of their college. Only college that provides is Indra Gandhi National open University (IGNOU) Delhi , but that is not a full time university course.
You may look upto similar course like B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science which is available in most of the colleges. Or you may look upto colleges that provide B.C.A. in Delhi. One of them is Jamia Hamdard University, which is a government college and has a decent placement record.
Other universities providing B.C.A are:
- Guru Gobind Singh Indraprashta University
- Institute of Information Technology & Management
- jamia Hamdard University
- Sharda University
-
Amity University
For admission, you may contact to respective colleges or follow this link; BCA Colleges
