To get BDS seat what is benchmarks for category wise.
Hi,
Well the cut off marks are very flexible and there is no hard and fast rule in deciding about the marks that might get you a seat but based on last year cut offs,
For general category students- 500+
For OBC students- 480+
For SC and ST students-400+
This can give you a idea of how the thing works. This is just an assumption and you need to be clear about that.
I hope my answer helps.
All the best.
How much exactly can a dentist earn in a month ??
Dear Gaurav,
Thank you for your query. A Dentist in India has the options to either join a Hospital on salary basis or be self employed. Again, it would depend on the hospital you join or the place of business. Some reputed hospitals offer starting salary of around 40,000/- to 55,000/-. For Self Employed, it depends on lot of factors and the length of successful practice.
Thank you again.

Hey Pallavi,
It would be difficult to tell you your exact chances as cutoffs vary from year to year depending on various factors like no. of candidates appearing for the exam, no. of seats available, difficulty of the exam and the top NEET scores. You score is not enough to get you a dental or medical seat in Maharashtra. You can try to score better next year or try for private colleges in any other state.
To know more about your chances, you can use the Careers 360 college predictor tool:

Doing master of hospital administratiom after bds , is whether good decision or not?
Hi Abhinaya,
Yes it is good idea. Masters will always open new doors. Infact you can also take CAT exam after your BDS. IIMs cutoff is low for students are not from Engineering background. You have a medical background so life becomes much easier to get into IIMs.
BDS best rhega ya BAMS sirplzz reply
First of all, interest matters
Now comparing these two fields:-
*BDS*
1. Dentists have very much demand in foreign countries, they get priority after MBBS degree
2. Little chance to get a government job.
3.low income
If you are ready to tackle these and willing to solve oral problems then go for it
*BAMS*
1. Ayurvedic treatment is getting priority in India and even in other countries.
2. Have to learn difficult language Sanskrit.
3. People go for ayurvedic treatment as an alternative to allopathy.
There is a hierarchy set in India
MBBS
BDS
BAMS
So do good research and find your interest, interest matters a lot, not money.
Good luck:)
