Admission to BDS course is on the basis of NEET UG entrance exam. So, you need to qualify the NEET exam to get a seat in dental college.
After the exam, Counselling is conducted by states for state quota seats and by MCC for All India Quota seats for admission.

The procedure for pursuing MDS is different for different countries.
- In the USA, prospective MDS students must first give the NBDE or the National Board Dental Examination prior to being eligible to apply for any MDS program at a university.
- In Canada, with a BDS degree from India, the candidate must first go through the NDEB equivalency process prior to being eligible to apply for an MDS program at a university.
- In Australia, prospective MDS candidates will have to give and clear the ADC or Australian Dental Council examinations prior to being eligible for any university program for MDS.
In all three countries, candidates will also have to submit the required English language proficiency test scores for immigration purposes from either the TOEFL or the IELTS exam.

Diploma in Dental Hygiene is 2 years full time course offered by Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and Approved by UGC.
Eligibility criteria for admission to the course is candidate must not be not less than 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission. He/ she must have Senior Secondary School Certificate of this University or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks in aggregate.
