Autonomy is a situation in which the learner is totally responsible for all the decisions concerned with his [or her] learning and the implementation of those decisions.Autonomy is a recognition of the rights of learners within educational systems.
The challenges associated with education autonomy are Growth disparity and access to opportunity: socially, India remains highly divided access to higher education is uneven with multidimensional inequalities in enrolment across population groups- geographies. Our narrowly specialised institution of excellence such as IITs IIMs and AIIMs, and IISc serve less than 0.5 percent of the total students enrolled in colleges and universities -out of 35 candidates appearing for CAT, only close to one candidate is admitted in IIMs. Out of 65 candidates, one is selected for IIT course.

Hello Aspirant,
State governments have been provided with the permission to alter the suitability standards for EWS reservations.
The EWS certificate based on these above norms will be acceptable only in state-led colleges and state government employment positions for the respective states.
So, if your certificate is issued by Odisha it will be acceptable in Odisha only.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subdomain of the population who belong to the income established Un-Reserved Category and have yearly household earnings of less than 8 lakh and who do not belong to the reserved categories in India. The other eligibility norms are as follows:-
- The household should not occupy 5 acres of farming land or more.
- The housing flat region must be less than 1000 sq ft.
- The housing location must be less than 100 square yards if it is situated in an authorized municipality locality.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
2. What do you mean by educational autonomy? Explain the challenges and issues associated with educational autonomy in higher educational institutions in India? 500 words
Hello,
Educational autonomy meaning a situation where the learner is totally responsible for all the decision concerned with his or her learning.
In India so many colleges called autonomous or autonomy that means they are not under of any universities. May be they are under by UGC, AICTE, NAAC but not under any universities. They are own boss. Like above this name are main helper of education like government affiliated or rank related organization which are constitute by Indian government.
Like all most all medical colleges are autonomy. Like they are own boss. Only under MCI i.e. medical council of India. Same pharmacy college under only PCI i.e. pharmacy council of India if they are autonomy.
Main benefits are that they are creat their own question papers, their own examination time schedule due to good and bad time of students and they are own college vigilance for examination. So it's the main benefits.
But the problem is if any problem occurs then no one you gonna blame. You have to solve every problem by yourself. Infact before need the autonomy you can check them that you have best environment and equipment for the autonomy structure.
All the best.
