What is the difference between mechanical and electrical and electronics engineering (EEE)? Which has better syllabus and scope?
Dear Aspirant
There is a very big difference in the two branches you have mentioned, Mechanical has subjects like fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, automobile engines, lathe machine, hydraulics, etc.
While on the other hand, EEE has subjects dealing with things like transformers, satellites, circuits and networks, etc.
If you are interested in the thermodynamics and calculus then Mechanical is a good choice, if you were interested in the Electricity and electrical devices, then EEE, is a good option.
As per the current market situation, EEE has a better scope than the mechanical engineering as the number of jobs in mechanical are decreasing while it is not the case in EEE.
Hope this helps. Thank you.

can you choose a major in electrical and electronics engineering and a minor in CSE in NIT?
hello aspirant,
If you are talking about the electives for the josaa alocation. The above mentioned statement is valid. you can select the favourable and interested subject in order respectively for the josaa councilling. cse in nit s require higher percentile than other subjects. most nits have cse as the top branch.

hoope this information helps.
which course is better electronics and communication engineering or electrical and electronics engineering in polytechnic.
Hello,
Electronic Engineering is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components to design electronic circuits, devices, etc.
Electrical Engineering is the design, building and maintenance of electrical control systems, machinery and equipment.
Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) involves researching, designing, developing and testing of electronic equipment used in various systems.
The placement package are almost most same.
All the three branches were good in their aspects , but the chose for your branch should depends upon your area of interest. Go for the branch you are passionate for.
Hope it helps,
All the best for your future.
I completed my Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering under academic year (2017-2020). If I get admission into Andhra University, Vizag through APECET 2020, then how many years I have to study BTech in Andhra University?
Dear Aspirants ,
AP ECET exam will be organized for providing admission in lateral entry of B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharmacy courses. Candidates holding diploma or B.Sc (Mathematics) degree can appear for this exam. The application form will be accessed via online mode.
If you are wants trough join lateral entry in Electrical and Electronics Engineering under Andhra University then you should study 3 years .Because Lateral Entry basically refers to the direct entry to the second year of engineering courses.
Hope it will helpful
Thanks
sir my all india rank is 173240 and my SC category rank is 8708 . I am from Telangana... can i get any NIT or IIIT... If i can get please tell me the Names of the institutions... My favorouble branch is ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING (EEE)
Hello Student,
A rank of 173240 in crl is a bit low of a rank. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IIITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IITs also would be a bit tough. Since you belong to sc category, there might be some chances of you getting into newer NITs such as NIT Andhra Pradesh or NIT Pondicherry.
And, since you have mentioned that you belong to the sc category, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities are a bit more. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities. But due to the high competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities if you are not focused on any specific department.
Some other good universities with this rank would be:
1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur
3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh
4. Delhi University
5. Shiv Nadar University
6. VIT, Vellore
7. Manipal Institute of Technology

my cutoff is 131 BC can I get mech / EEE in Rajalakshmi??
Hello,
It is difficult to tell this year cut off for Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai but we can predict by seeing the last year cut off. The Cut off for BC for admission to Mechanical Engineering 132.5 and for Electrical and Electronics Engineering was 163 marks. So you will have slight chances to get Mechanical Engineering and difficult to get seat in Electrical branch. The cut off changes every year as it depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, Number of seats available in the college, Difficulty level of exam etc. The cut off may increase or decrease every year.
