Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Hello Buddy! Hope you're doing good.
As all the branches have their own position. Whatever your interest is, take that course as here every courses is similar in terms of standards. As far as computers and electrical courses (especially ECE), you will have a lot of companies to sit on in the final year. Mechanical, Civil have their own sort of companies. Biotechnology and Chemical are concerned, you will have relatively less number of companies. But that's secondary. It all depends on how you study, and your interest matters. SASTRA provide Aerospace, you can also give a try as it is one of the good University for research and innovation. Hope this will help you.
ALL THE BEST! WORK HARD !!
Hi Aspirant,
Both streams, Electronics and communication as well as Electrical and Electronics have a lots of opportunity. Basically each field of Engineering has a lots of equal and best opportunities as long as the candidate wants to create it for themselves.
For placements, ECE students can apply for jobs in various companies along with EEE students. However, IT companies will have a slightly higher preference to ECE because ECE involves study of electronics and some part of communications.
But also it all depends on your interest. If you have interest in in product development, control system, system management, product design, sales, consumer’s electronics, transportation, wireless communication, manufacturing, chemical, automotive, defense and space research organizations, then you can join EEE.
But if you are interested in managing large scale research, conceptualizing, designing, developing and testing of the electronic equipment used in latest communication devices and other handy technological equipment, such as smartphones, tablets, processors, etc., then you can go for ECE.
You can refer the link below for more information on ECE and EEE,

All the best!!!
Hello Aspirant,
ISRO releases the post of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' for EEE candidates. EEE graduates are eligible to apply for this post. Usually, this post is for Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical graduates. Please note that these are usually advertised as separate posts.
For example, they might advertise
Scenario 1 : Scientist/Engineer 'SC' post for (Electronics, Mechanical, and computer science)
OR
Scenario 2: Scientist/Engineer 'SC' post for
(Electrical/Civil, etc.,)
EEE graduates can apply for both, i.e. scenarios 1 and 2 ( not necessarily at the same time). It is subjected to the requirements that they are looking for.
As mentioned, the advertisement solely depends on their requirements at a particular point in time. Keep checking the ISRO careers page for the latest notifications and job requirements.

GOOD MORNING
Firstly CONGRACTULATIONS for being a student of VIT CHENNAI. now let me answer your question...look you already have a brand name of VIT hence you will be placed even if you are an average student there...
PLACEMENTS DEPEND UPON YOUR PERCENTILE
if your percentile is above 9.0 then you can apply in almost all the companies visiting your college in your field, FOR GETTING AN EXTRAORDINARY PACKAGE BE A TOPPER THERE...ALSO INCREASE YOUR COMUNICATION SKILLS TO PERFORM BETTER IN THE INTERVIEW
Firstly if you want to join BTech courses after Diploma then you have to qualify lateral entry examination organized by the State government and there are no national level examination.
After Diploma many students change there area of study, so you can change it provided the college you want to study in must be a participant in the lateral entry exam.
