I have no idea about electrical circuits , ac dc currrents , EMI chapters in my 12th class . My father is asking me to opt EEE branch in BTECH . Once if i get into the branch , will I be able to copup without any knowledge about circuits and related chapters in 12th?dont reply saying do wt u want2do

It's very important to choose between packages and interest. Nowadays, it is the bitter truth that if you have money ,the world is under you and yes I do agree in some cases money also fails but it is good to have money.
Coming to your question , yes it would be difficult for you to manage the eee branch without knowing electrical circuit emi stuffs . But people take up many things without having any prior knowledge of that subject and later on excel in that.
So, if you have interest then do take it otherwise not.
what is difference between amplifier and transformer
A transformer by itself can change the voltage of a signal but does not change the amount of power. For a given increase in voltage, there is an equivalent decrease in the current. The power remains constant. In fact due to resistive losses the amount of power is actually a bit less. An amplifier, on the other hand, can increase the power of a signal by using the input voltage to control a more powerful source.

you did not give the circuit details, whether the capacitors are in parallele or in series. suppose the two capacitor c1, c2 are in series than equivalent will be
equivalent for two series capacitor=(c1*c2)/(c1+c2)
if the capacitor are in parallel then equivalent is =c1+c2.
capacitor rules is opposite to resistor and inductor.
