IIM,kolkata takes the admission through CAT. It is only for MBA programme not for Engineering.

Admission in electrical branch or any engineering branch is through an entrance exam like JEE MAIN, BITSAT, VIT etc..
Based on your percentage in the above exams you become eligible as in JEE Main mainly you require 50% minimum.
