Hello this is Fahmeeda, can u please tell me what rank can I expect if my score is 31 in pgcet (mtech) electrical science (ECE branch).
PGCET ranks are relative rankings, that means it relies on the top score I mean the highest score achieved in the examination and the 100% score is not the judging criteria. That means if a candidate has 90 marks, which is the highest for that examination will be given rank 1 and candidate with 89 will be rank 2 and if there are 3 candidates with marks 88 then tie breaker is applied:
- The total aggregate marks in the qualifying examination of the candidate will be marked. The higher qualifying marks will gain higher merit.
- If the marks are equal again, then the age of the candidate will be taken in account, where the candidate elder in age will get higher merit.
- Still, if the merit is tied, the merit will be determined by draw of lots.
There is no appropriate approximation of the rank you will get, as it depends on various factors.
Best wishes. Thank you.
Im a electrical engineering graduate. Can i do aerospace engineering in mtech with and without GATE exam? I have applied for GATE EE. If i qualify is it possible to change my field in mtech? If i dont qualify what are the other oppurtunities i can get to do AE mtech without GATE exam?
Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that yes, you can do and Pursue Mtech in Aerospace Engineering with and with out GATE Examination. I will tell you both the processes.
First, if you will qualify for gate examination with the Electrical Engineering as your course and if you wish to change this to Aerospace Engineering then you can easily do the course. You can easily choose your different branch for GATE. But you have to keep one thing in mind is that Though the students can switch their streams in GATE , whether they will be eligible for the admission in the changed stream in an institute or not is at the sole discretion of the institute.
Secondly, if you don't get qualified for your GATE Examination then you can still get Mtech in Aerospace Engineering. GATE is not necessarily required for MTech admissions in India. If you don't have GATE scores, you can aim to apply for MTech courses in private academic institutions in the country or seek study abroad opportunities as well.
But in order to get eligible for Mtech courses like Mtech in Aerospace engineering in government institutes, the eligibility criteria for same is described as below :
Candidates need to qualify their Bachelors degree in B. Tech/ B.E. in Aerospace Engineering with minimum 60% marks for general category and 55% marks for the reserved category . Also, aspirants need to appear and qualify GATE in order to get admission into premier institutes like IITs.

I hope that this will help.
bteck ke konse year mein brach change kar sakte h?. Aur kya esa possible h ki hum bteck IT se kare aur mteck EE se?
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
It depends on two factors.
Firstly, College fixes a threshold CGPA or percentage. Your CGPA have to be higher than the one set by the college.
Secondly, it depends on the nunber of seats college have that in particular branch.
For e.g.If minimum thresold cutoff is 8 CGPA and you secured exactly 8 then you are eligible to change the branch but if a college have suppose 80 seats in CSE and 72 get into admission in 1st year..imagine people like you who have in their mind to change the branch in second year also filled the form and lets suppose 16 people also filled the form and 8 of them secured pointer greater than 8,then definitely they getting the seat in CSE and not you.I hope you understand what i mean.
what are the career opportunities after diploma in electrical engineering except b. tech..??
After Diploma in Electrical Engineering, you can go for the various Junior Engineer posts in different Government and Private companies. Apart from this you can appear for the different job openings in power stations and Factories. So apart from this after Diploma you have not much of option left regarding a stable career. Now obviously you can be a Youtuber, Teacher for Polytechnic entrances etc, but those are the choices you have to take. But traditionally doing job in MNC'c and other companies in the positions of Maintenance Engineer, Field Engineer, Junior Engineer, Customer Support Engineer for companies like Whirlpool, GODREJ etc.

How many percentile required in JEE MAIN to admit in NIT Trichy,Electrical branch???
Dear aspirant,
Let me tell you that there is as such no minimum percentile already pre defined because there are various factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty while deciding the cut offs.
But I can predict as per my knowledge but it may vary a bit due to above factors. So , a percentile of 99.3+ would be a safer score to get the electrical branch.

can you please send me the choice filling for electrical branch in csab round with my crl rank 168160 and my category is obc ncl and home state bihar...
Hello aspirant,
With the above crl rank , the chances for you to get admission in any top colleges in CSAB special round councelling are quite less as the csab special round counseling is strictly done on basis of CRL ranks for every category.
However , with 168160 crl rank in obc category , you can get some other low colleges with other branches as well.
You can check the following link to know the cutoff trends and more about csab special round counselling rounds :

can you please send me the choice filling for csab round with my crl rank 168160. i want electrical branch.home state bihar
Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.
As per the last year data of CSAB allotment the closing ranks for GFTIs were around 100000 for Open category and with the rank that you have mentioned, you have almost no chances to get any of the institutions through CSAB counselling.
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://admissions.nic.in/csabspl/csabsplresult/result/CurrentORCR.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
