Is there any diference in electronics and communication engineering ,electronics and instrumentation in placement point of view in agartala NIT.
Both branches are a little similar and interesting. It certainly doesn't make much difference in terms of job and career if you are in a good IIT or NIT. EIE is very theory based subject. The core subjects of measurement and instruments are nearly completely theoretical but very interesting. The control part subject is mathematical as well as concept based.
Honestly, ECE is more popular branch than EIE. Most of the times ECE is the most favorable stream among the core branches. The highest placement every time is from the tech branches, and after that ECE gives highest placement in core companies and sometimes in tech companies too.
But EIE also has a growing scope in India. EIE mostly deals with the manufacturing and more detailed understanding of the functioning while ECE basically focuses more on the transmission and communication.
As you are in NIT Agartala, which is a very good college, your placement from either of the branches won't be much different. So you should decide you branch to choose on the basis of your interests.
If you choose EIE :
PRO'S
- you will learn more of the theoretical aspect of instrument. So if you are interested in research type jobs then this would be better for you.
- An instrumentation engineer is basically needed in every industry as every industry is someway or the other instrument based. So it gives more job opportunities.
- Instrumentation engineers have almost the same exposure as EE students.
- Lesser competition in all India exams like GATE, as there are few people taking up this course and fewer colleges giving this degree.
- EIE students can sit for almost all core sector jobs, except chemical or civil But ECE students aren't preferred in electrical and other core backgrounds and since there are few communication based core companies in India, there chances become less.
- If not anything else, EIE students can also go for software industries, which is basically open to every stream.
-
CON'S
Although as I mentioned the competition is less, the seats for higher studies in Instrumentation are also less and in some core sectors EIE seats are lesser than compared to other core fields (not always). - The subjects are very theory based with lots of diagrams at work. So if you aren't good at elaborating things which you have understood (as is the case with me), your grades may take a hit in those subjects.
Properly take your time and decide.
Hope this helps you.
Which is better - Electronic & Telecommunication at IIEST SHIBPUR , or Electrical Engineering at NIT DURGAPUR ? (according to placement )
Dear aspirant,
Hope you secured a good rank in JEE mains. The institutions you have mentioned were counted as one of the good institutions for engineering courses.
Talking about the placements in the following colleges,
IIEST SHIBPUR
Electronic & Telecommunication Branch The placements are good enough. Almost 65-70% of students get placed every year. The highest package was offered by Microsoft (39 LPA) for 6 students, and the lowest package was offered by some of the mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc., of 3.6 LPA. The average package was somewhere around 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Texas Instruments, PWC, ZS Associates etc. More than 50% of students grab internships in good companies like PWC, Microsoft, Texas etc. Some of the major roles offered are system engineer, VLSI design engineer, data scientist etc.

RVCE EEE or telecomunication engineering. VS. PESIT EC CSE campus ???which is absolutely better????
Dear,
Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust R V College of Engineering(R.C.V.E) located in Bengaluru, is a utonomous Institution which is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and is a pproved By AICTE, New Delhi, also accredited By NBA, New Delhi.
The average salary offered is 14+LPA. The students of RCVE have been recruited by some of the world's leading corporate which are- Accenture, Samsung India, Adobe Systems, Adani Groups, LinkedIn, Amazon, Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited, TATA, Myntra etc
The Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of RCVE was program with affiliation to VTU, support four core specializations (VLSI Design, Wireless & Wireline Communications, Signal Processing, and Embedded Systems) in the department.
Students are placed in reputed companies like Intel, NXP Semiconductors, SanDisk, Cisco IT, Qualcomm, Robert Bosch, Deloitte. The department has MOU with various leading industries like Texas Instruments, NXP Semiconductors, Intel, Keysight technologies TE connectivity, Semiconductor Laboratory,Idea unlimited, GK Machineries and Robotics etc.
Whereas, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department of PES Institute of Technolgy, Bangalore South Campus has Center for System Design and Verification. Collaboration with faculty members from other disciplines, both within and outside the institute, is encouraged. The department has tie-ups with Synopsys for providing the academicians the experience of working on world class tools from the industry. The research activity of the department includes fundamental research in a variety of Electronics related domains. The lab facilities and the infrastructure are excellent and are regularly upgraded and are well supported by the institute and the industrial partners.
The faculty of the department also conduct courses outside the university curriculum to help students do practical projects and theoretical research.
According to me, both are leading institutes but RCVE has more edge these days as of placement record is much better. But, rest is your call. You can choose accordingly, as per your requirement.
Hope this helped in sorting out your query.
All the Best!!
PESIT EC campus CSE vs. BMSCE ECE//EEE?????? PES University ECE. vs. BMSCE ISE/telecommunication engineering???
First think of the curriculum that you wish to study, between Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering if you think of the recent trends, CSE will give you better placements. Now among the different Colleges selected by you all of them have pretty good infrastructure and we'll equipped labs and experienced faculties but considering the placement records, PES University is the better one with Median Salary Packages 4-7 LPA.
Good luck !! Know more about this University
