My cusat score is 186 out of 750. Will I get electrical and electronics engineering.
Usually, a candidate who has a higher rank has a high chance of admission As you're looking to get into EEE, a rank up to 5500 can get you into the Electronics and Electrical branches. The previous year cut off for different colleges was:
Cochin University College of engineering: 5342
School of Engineering, Cochin: 2558
As per your score, your rank should be above 6k. It is an approximation, and the actual results may vary. Also, the ranks vary every year owing to numerous factors like the Total number of candidates, Candidates who qualified, The difficulty level of the exam, seat Availability, nd so on.
So please wait until the cut-off list is published by the authorities and hope for the best.

I will complete my graduation BTech ECE in January 2022(2017-2021)batch due to backlogs and lack of summer semester because of covid. What career options I have available? My graduation percentage will be 59.4%. :( GATE/PSU/Govt job exams or any further degree please help me?
Hi,
First of all, don't lose hope. There are many options available after undergraduate in engineering but you will face many problems because of your percentage. Once you complete your engineering try to get selected in Startups where your percentage never matters. And See if you are skilled in any demanding jobs then definitely you can get a job. If this fails then you should apply for Masters. Hustle hard.
All the best.
can join b tech in mechatronics engineering course after completing you diploma in electrical and electronics engineering
hi,
see mechatronics engineering is a interdisciplinary streams and considered under the child trade of Mechanical engineering. generally students who has completed diploma in mechanical engineering are eligible to apply for b.tech in mechatronics engineering. after completing your diploma in electrical and electronics engineering you are eligible to apply for b.tech in eee/ electrical engineering. however the eligibility criteria may differs as per institutions. so before apply to any college check their eligibility criteria.
list of college name which offer b.tech in mechatronics engineering:
MIT Manipal - Manipal Institute of Technology
LPU Jalandhar - Lovely Professional University
Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore
School of Engineering, UPES Dehradun - School of Engineering University of Petroleum and Energy Studies
follow the below link to get complete list:
Which branch is best Electrical / Mechanical / ICT / EC My interest is robotics and automation. At present I do Arduino Projects. So for me which branch would you prefer to go as a core branch for B.Tech
Dear Aspirant,
All these branches are interdisciplinary and interdependent for robotics and automation field.Knowledge of all these branches is used and required in automation and robotics. Also there are institutes/colleges which offer special B.Tech programme in Robotics and automation

Which engineering is better in terms of job opportunities and salary? Mechanical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering?
Hello student,
There is nothing like one branch is better or one branch is branch. It all depends on your interest.
But yes, if we talk about market demands then one branch can have edge over others.
Let us do analysis about these two branches.
The study, design, development, building, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, such as tools, engines, and machines, is known as mechanical engineering. Careers in mechanical engineering focus on developing technologies that address a wide variety of human requirements.
Let us see the scope of Mechanical engineering first of all.
- Aerospace industry
- Automotive industries
- Defense
- Rail industry
- Thermal plants
- Steel plants
- Robotics industry
- chemical manufacturing plants
Now if we talk about Electronics and communication engineering then, Right now Electronics and Communication Engineering is one the most demanded branch in engineering course field as digitalisation is on the rise in India . You can understand it going through the cutoff for this branch in various colleges, it goes high as many of the students want to pursue.
The best part of this branch is that it is connects hardware to software, so you can learn both the skill of core and circuital and it can increase your scopes.
The things that you have to study in this is mainly that I am listing below.
- Analog Electronics
- Network Theory
- Analog & Digital Communication
- Wireless Communication
- Digital Image Processing
- Microprocessor
- VLSI
- EDC
The fees for this course vary from Rs. 2,50,000 to Rs. 10,00,000 depending upon the college.
After pursuing BTech in ECE, you can work as a engineer who design electronics gadgets and there many other options especially in communication field.
Some of the companies that offers jobs for ECE graduates are below in the list.
- Infosys
- Panasonic
- Samsung
- L&T Infotech
- Sony
- Intel
and many mores.
Now if talk about salary for ECE gradates then the average package ranges from 4 lakh to 6 lakh and there is o limit of highest package, people can get lot if they are really skilled.

All the very best!!
I have got 37000 rank in VITEEE which category I will get in cs/it/ec or other branch?
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well.As per your rank you can the following branches in category 1-
VIT Vellore
- Biomedical Engineering
- Production and Industrial Engineering
VIT Chennai
- Civil Engineering
- Fashion Technology
- Electronics and Computer Engineering
According to your rank it would be difficult for you to cs/it in VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai. But you can try in VIT Bhopal or VIT AP.

I hope the answer helped you.
Good Luck!!!
sir ,whether kiit jee electronics and computer engineering get place in iT sector
Hello,
The field which you have mentioned ie, Electronics and Computer Engineering is one of the newest field introduced in Engineering and you can also say that it is a mixture as well as a Sub-Branch of Electronics and CSE branch. Now talking about it’s placement than i would like to say you that this field will be responding awesomely in the terms of getting placed because it has good chance for getting selected in the both fields of Electronics related companies as well as Tech related companies because you will having the knowledge regarding both the fields. Hence as you asked this fields students can definitely get placed in the IT sectors.
Thank you..
Hi there I want to persue Robotics field bcoz I like robotics stuff, also I am interested in PCBs, Arduino based projects and automation projects, but idk which field id better for me. Someone says go with core branch (Mechanical or Electrical), some says ICT or EC Can you please guide abt field
Hi Aspirant,
You can directly go for Robotics and Automation Engineering rather than pursuing any other streams of Engineering. As you have mentioned about your interests , those all are included in Robotics and Automation Engineering as the course subjects includes: Computational Geometry ,Computer-aided Manufacturing, Automation, Biocybernetics, Digital Electronics And Microprocessors, Design And Control, Robot Manipulators, Artificial Intelligence, Signal Processing, Robot Motion Planning, Computer Integrated Manufacturing System, etc.

which is a better option CS from Amity Noida,Kiit,SRM or EC from Vit vellore
Dear candidate, ignore other options. Choose between SRM CS and VIT EC. Now, it's up to you which branch you prefer. EC is a more difficult branch than CS. CS has more employment opportunities than EC. EC is preferable for government jobs. Last, but not the least: your interest. Choose the one, in which your interest is. If you do not like coding then don’t go into CS. Average package of CSE SRM is more than ECE VIT. College life at both colleges is good, with a little bit of restrictions at VIT.
