Dear candidate, you need to get marks above 110 to get rank above 1250 which was cutoff of ECE for BMS College of Engineering. However, this changes every year due to different reasons:
-
Difficulty level of paper
-
Number of students appearing
-
Number of seats
Hope, it helps!
My gate rank is 8135 and gate score is 409/1000 in electronics and communications engineering.. Will I get mtech seat in vlsi design in andhra university.. Or should I need to apply for APPGECET
hi,
see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on students performance, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, etc, however at this score you have very less chances in andhra university, I suggest you to apply for appgecet exam or other mtech exams like bits hd, vitmee also.

difference b/w Electronics and communications engineering and electronics and instrumentation engineering.
As the name suggests, both are almost the same and both the students will surely compete for jobs and placement opportunities. The difference being Communication Engineering deals with the Micro Controllers and Micro Processors. Satellite and Fiber communication is also included here.
In the contrary, Instrumentation Engineering has knolwedge of PLC and DCS and various other instruments for the measurement of Flow, Level, Temperature, Pressure. Various strategies for the controlling the same are also studied.

I am in 4th year of B.Tech. ECE. I missed a paper in 6th sem, which is counted as a backlog now. As a result, I am not eligible in most of the On-campus and Off-campus drives. What should i do? I had prepared a lot for Placements.
let me tell you it does effect the campus placements as mentioned by others, but if you are talented and hard working enough companies will always make an exception for you.The companies which does not care about the marks sheet and know that one piece of paper does not decide your future are going to call you for interview if your resume speaks loud about you skills and achievements in the tech industry .
I hope you find it helpful
let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
Thanks
Good luck!
