There is no need to regret. You did a right thing. If You are thinking that there are good opportunities in IT Industry, yes it's true. But it is not the only sector. Even ECE has good future. However upto some extent programming is involved in it. So go for it.
Sir, kindly give me decision for selection of : institu 1} I got seat in " National Institute of Electronics & Information technology , Aurangabad , C - SAB round 1.for Electron syst Eng { B Tech}{ GFTI} 2} I got seat in RAJIV Gandhi inst, Andheri though MHCET who best fr job & higher study
Hello !!
From my point of view, you must go for Rajiv Gandhi Institute of technology, Mumbai .
Although it is a private college College as compared to National institute of electronics and information technology, Aurangabad i.e. autonomous one, the main point comes here into the play is of placement and for higher studies as Mumbai is much better location for higher studies and the average placement of this institute is approx 3-4 lakhs that is much better than Nielit Aurangabad.
So, without no doubt go for Rajiv Gandhi Institute of technology, Mumbai
Hope this will help you....!!

How is Electronics and Telecommunication department in IIEST Shibpur? Should i opt it? I only want a decent placement not further studies.
Hi,
IIEST SHIBPUR is one the top engineering institutes of the country. And electronics and telecommunication department is also among the best. About the college infrastructure, it is good enough to facilitate all the needs of students who stay here. The campus is huge, which includes two major grounds, one auditorium, a student activity centre, airy classrooms, well-equipped labs etc. Most of the campus area is Wi-Fi enabled. There are separate hostels for the students of different years with different room facilities. The mess offers a variety of food for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. They take good care of health and hygiene as well. There are lots of canteens as well which offer food at a very low cost and of good taste. Sports fest is conducted almost every month (sometimes in a week), and there is a club for almost every sport. There are several research area in this department like:
1 | Communication and Signal processing |
|
---|---|---|
2 | Microelectronics, Devices and VLSI |
|
3 | Microwave and Antenna |
|
Regarding placements, The placements are good enough. Almost 65-70% of students get placed every year. The highest package was offered by Microsoft (39 LPA) for 6 students, and the lowest package was offered by some of the mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc., of 3.6 LPA. The average package was somewhere around 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Texas Instruments, PWC, ZS Associates etc. More than 50% of students grab internships in good companies like PWC, Microsoft, Texas etc. Some of the major roles offered are system engineer, VLSI design engineer, data scientist etc.
Hope it helps.
which is better through kcet tier 1 - electronics and telecommunication tier 3-electronics and communication which is good from placement point of view
Hi,
Top Electronics and Communication Engineering Colleges in India...
MIT Manipal - Manipal Institute of Technology. ...
COEP Pune - College of Engineering. ...
SRM University Chennai - SRM Institute of Science and Technology. ...
DSCE Bangalore - Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. ...
VIT Vellore - Vellore Institute of Technology.
the branch's placement scenario in the college is good, then why not? If not, no worries. In the end all that matters is your skillset. Don't be a jack of all trades, instead be a master of one. Take one technology and study it well enough to be proficient in it. Keep in touch with the latest technological advancements happening around the world and groom yourself accordingly. Yes, IIT and NIT tag will always be given importance, given their outstanding students but it should not stop you from achieving anything in this world full of possibilities. As I said, in the end, what matters is your skillset. If you can make yourself expert in a subject, nothing can stop you.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
