i got Electronics and Computer engineering with minor in AI/ML in VIT AP under category 2. Also got CSE and ECE in KLU Hyderabad. which one to choose. pls guide

Devika Malik 1st Jun, 2026

Hi,

If I were in your position, I'd probably choose VIT-AP Electronics and Computer Engineering with the AI/ML minor .

While it's not core CSE, the branch still includes a good amount of computer science, and the AI/ML minor is a nice addition. Plus, VIT generally has a stronger brand

Samyak Jain 31st May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

If the child has no strong branch preference , then between BITS Pharma and Thapar Electronics, I would generally lean toward Thapar Electronics for broader career flexibility and safer future prospects.

Devika Malik 27th May, 2026

Hi,

With 84% in boards and 92 marks in MET, getting Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECE with Computer-related specialization) at Manipal Bengaluru campus may be difficult but you can still have some chances in later counselling rounds. Hello Dear Student,

With 92 marks in MET and 84% boards , getting Electronics and Computer Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology Bengaluru is borderline but still possible, especially in later counselling rounds.

Recent cutoff trends show Electronics and Computer Engineering at MIT Bengaluru closing around 11k–16k ranks depending on

Devika Malik 25th May, 2026

Hi,

Yes, you are eligible to apply to Nirma University since your board marks are well above the minimum requirement.

But with around 76 percentile in JEE Main, getting ECE there is honestly very difficult because ECE cutoffs usually go much higher (around 93–95 percentile range).

If you are from

I got 2659 rank in polycet Sodom I get seat institute of government electronics

Devika Malik 25th May, 2026

Hi,

With a TS POLYCET rank around 2659, your chances at Government Institute of Electronics for Electronics-related branches are quite strong.

For OC category also, your rank is generally within the usual cutoff range, and for reserved categories (BC/SC/ST), chances become even better.

During counselling:
• Keep GIOE Secunderabad high

Devika Malik 18th May, 2026

Hi,

For admission into BTech branches like CSE, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, students generally need to complete Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. In most colleges, Chemistry is also required as the third main subject.

Most universities ask for around 50%–60% marks in PCM, while top institutes
