my SC preparatory rank is 57.I filled choices like chemical engineering, engineering physics, mechanical engineering in iit Hyderabad, iit roorke,etc.. .But I didnt get any seat in round 1.Why?
You should wait patiently for further rounds of counselling it is not compulsory that you will get a seat in round 1 only hence you should wait for further rounds and if your rank is apt enough to get you a preparatory seat so you will definitely get it maybe after some rounds of counselling also seat allotment depends on you choice filling as well so make sure you have filled choices in the best possible way.
is there any process to change the branch after first year in DTU..suppose during counseling i put mathematics and computing above..but i got engineering physics..and i take admission..then after first year..is there any thing which i can do to change my branch??
YES there is definitely a procedure to get branch change after 1st year at dtu the complete information is available on the institute's website there are some boundations like you can get branch change only if you get you final seat allotment by not freezing you option which you have got also the basis of upgradation is jee main rank only and you should have vacant seats in your desired branch.
Chances are that Ill get Engineering Physics in DTU. I want to get into coding and am prepared to work hard for it. Should I take EP in DTU or should I go for CSE at lower tier college? Some people say college name matters a lot, and some say I wont get the time to code if I take EP. Im confused
There are two things in this scenario if you take a lower tier college with cse then no matter how much you work hard you will not get a very good placements as companies providing high packages will either not come or they will not give high packages even if they come on the other hand since EP is a core field department so like in all other core fields syllabus is vast and you may not get time to code but here you should prefer dtu for two reasons first is the tag yo will get by joining the college moreover if you are willing to code then you will find time somehow or the other, moreover here the coding culture is great that will help you in coding but the only problem you might face is that some companies do not allow Ep students to sit in their placements(tech companies) so choose wisely but you can always go for off campus placements.
What is difference between doing BS in applied physics or b.tech In engineering physics??
Good Evening dear,
Ya!! Engineering physics is a very broad branch, as opposed to a regular BSc.
You can download this for college...
I hope it will be helpful to you .
Thank you..
how is the placement for engineering physics at nit Agartala??? should I join or drop for another year?
Hello,
If you have interest in engineering physics, then you must go for engineering physics at nit Agartala as it is a very good option. But if you don't have an interest and you want to get some better option like cs, IT, ece in some other better college and this was your first attempt, then you can surely think about giving it a second attempt.
But nit Agartala is a good option for pursuing your engineering physics. The NIRF ranking of NIT Agartala is 92 which is not bad. The placement are moderate here with median salary 6lpa and highest package was 22 lpa.
Overall, I suggest you that if you are interested in physics, then take this branch, and otherwise not.
Thank you!
what should I prefer iit delhi engineering physics iit jammu cse iit kharagpur aerospace iit kanpur aerospace iit bombay bs in maths nit kurukshetra cse
hey there,
choosing a college is a quite difficult decision ,It solely depends upon you both are great colleges you will get great opportunities IN ANY COURSE WHICH U PICK iits to have their alumni all over the world coming together talking about placements since we are talking about iits so you will get an almost similar opportunity
it all comes down to your passion and the amount of hard work where you are going to put your next 4 years into
IIT won't be a cakewalk but it will help you to grow in all walks of life which automatically will give a head start to your career.
you need to analyse your strengths and weakness and form a conclusion
Choose wisely!

i got btech(IT) in maharaja agrasen institute of technology, and if i got engineering physics at delhi technical university. what should i choose? my priority is placements.
MAIT Delhi is a private affiliated college under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi where as DTU is a state government NAAC A university.
Now in general, the placement ratios for fields such as IT, CSE, ECE etc have the most number of placements all over India compared to the core fields such as Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering etc.
Now, MAIT have 100% placement ratio for the IT where as DTU have 82% placement rate for the Engineering Physics stream. But the point is, DTU offers a better exposure to the field than MAIT. It offers you a overall growth and the package offered are more than MAIT. So technically more or less both are same but MAIT offers you a better possibility to get placed. As a result, I would recommend to choose the field of study from the interest of your subject because both of them offers you more or less facilities in terms of placements but going for MAIT will provide you more probability of getting compared to that of DTU Engineering physics.

NERIST CSE vs North eastern hills University (NEHU) IT ..... which is better??
Dear candidate NERIST is overall a renowned institution teaching Computer Science Engineering curriculum quite nicely. But since it's a very old Institute some of the facilities have declined in its qualities. But coming to North Eastern Hills University, it has developed a lot in recent years. Coming to sophisticated infrastructure, their huge book collection in the library, placements with average salary package of 3-5 LPA offered by IT companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys and more companies are yet to come in future.

It is indeed a better choice,
Good luck!!
should I choose civil or engineering physics at dtu??
Hello aspirant
hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query, I would glad inform you that all branches of delhi technical university is very good but if you are interested in coding and want to get placed in product based company then civil will be the better option because mostly students who are into coding but dont get cse branch ,they go for civil which will provide you some coding culure and at last students of all streams get equal opporrtunities for placements
Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future
