what course is best to become an isro scientist?
After 12th: You can get into IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) for their Undergraduate programmes. The admission is based on JEE Advanced scores. Which means you need to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2. You can pick any of their 4 year Bachelor programmes like B.Tech in Physical Sciences, B.Tech in Avionics and B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, etc. Or you can also pick up their 5 year Integrated courses in Master of Science in Astronomy and AstroPhysics, Master of Technology in Earth System Science, Master of Science in Solid State Physics and Master of Science in Optical Engineering, etc.
Opportunities are amazing for academically brilliant candidates. With a CGPA of 7.5 or higher, subject to the availability of vacancies, you get placed in ISRO. Aero and Avio graduates have better prospects even outside ISRO.
After B.Tech: IIST also offers Postgraduate Programmes like:
M.Tech in Soft Computing & Machine Learning
M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering
M.Tech in Geo informatics
M.Tech in Optical Engineering
M.Tech in Machine Learning & Computing
M.Tech in Solid State Technology
M.Tech in VLSI & Microsystems
M.Tech in Materials Science & Technology, etc.
Opportunities depend upon ISRO Placements conducted by centralised recruitment committee.
I am of general category as well EWS. If i submit EWS certificate and EWS quote is full as well general category is open. Will l get an admission in general category ?
Hello Paril Pritul Sanghvi
If you are an EWS student then you need to produce and submit your EWS certificate. If you fail to do so, no matter what category you belong to, you will be treated as a General category student during whole of the admission process and counselling. So try to submit your EWS Certificate as soon as possible.

How to calculate category(SC) rank by percentile?
Hiii aashutosh to calculate to you need following things
- Your NTA score=p
- Total number of students who have appeared for the exam=n
- Percentage of students below or equal to your marks=P
- Percentage of students above your marks=100-p
- Number of students above your marks((100 – P)/100)*N
Now apply the formula
(100 – P)/100)*N + 1
in state syllabus, is plusones or plustwos mark is counted for keem
Hello,
If you are talking about KEAM, only the class 12 board marks will be considered. The marks is calculated in 50:50 basis, where 50% weightage is given to KEAM score and 50% to the board score. The score of plus one or class 11 will not be considered.
