Are engineers successful out of India ? Like, do engineers are more likely to have better life abroad than in India ?
Dear,
Engineers are successful in India too if you belong to IITs, NITs or government engineering colleges. It is difficult to get into these colleges but the packages offered are far beyond expectations. ROI on education will be more than 100%. Mainly, as the IT sector is increasing the jobs are more oriented towards AI, ML , Data Science etc. Most people in India are frustrated about our system where there is no value to talent and everybody just want a good score or marks. I believe these are some points dur to which engineers prefer to move abroad-
1)More Quality job Opportunities and exposure
2)More money.
3)Completely new life.
4)More research opportunities
5)More importance for experience is given.
Everybody who goes to US are proud about India and long to come back but only feel frustrated with lack of opportunities. Its not about engineers only. Everyone is opportunist. If anyone gets right opportunity and if conditions are apt he/she will leave the country. The real problem is that leaving the country and migrating to Europe or US has now become a status symbol like once speaking English used to be a status symbol.
Hope this helps!
Is it true that many civil servants are Engineers and Doctors?
Yes, it's true as much as the syllabus of UPSC is more humanities oriented, the truth is the toppers come from as diverse backgrounds as that of medical/engineering/commerce/science, if you look at previous year toppers then yes , you will find many medical and engineering graduates, and the eligibility criteria itself states that candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, candidates in final year too are eligible to apply, they are required to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, and you will also find medical science and engineering as optional subjects, though in later case the choices may be limited, but eventually what matters for every successful candidate is their single minded focus, dedication and perseverance which help them sail through this tough exam.

I choose cse (AI/ML) in KMIT instead of cse, is it a good choice? will I get placements in it, high paying job assuming if I study well as much as plain cse? do I have disadvantages instead of choosing cse? Is btech cse (AI/ML) a fraud, ie. no one will hire ml/ai engineers just out of college?
Hello Manish,
If you study any subject well and be in the top 5 percentile of your college, you always get great placements. Now, coming to the next part, as the world is moving towards the digital trend, need of AI/ML engineers is very much. Therefore, be assured that if you study well, you will always land up in high paying jobs.
