Hi Aman Verma,
Hope you are doing great.
You have scored well in your class 12th. Since you said that you don't have physics in your academics. Don't worry, you can apply for various other courses like BCA, Bsc, BJMC, BTech with specialization and many other courses which will benefit you. So, try to give competitive exams for these courses.
All the best for your future.

Dear aspirant,
There is a lot of things you can do. First of all you have to see in which field does your interest and you have chase that accordingly.
For example, like you are good in mathematics , so you can go for masters in maths and jam entrance to get yourself admitted in one of premier institutes like iit/nits. But if you want to go for like english then you can also choose masters in that. If you like research field then you can also give gate examination.
I got 97 in English core, 98 in history, 97 in bengali, 97 in geography, 94 in pol. science and 85 in economics. so what is best 4 percentage for admission under Delhi university under graduate course In BA Hons. in History
Hello Aspirant,
Your best four should include , one language, one subject of the course your are applying to and best of two other academic subjects. Since you are form humanities student seeking admission to BA course there will not be reduction in percentage. Hence , your best four can be, English(97)+History(98)+Geography(97)+Political Science(94)=96.5%
All the best
Can I add both English Core and Hindi Core in my BFS applying for BA Honours in Political Science in DU?
Hey Ritik
To get admission in any of the colleges under Delhi University the subjects that you can take to calculate your best of four in political science should include Political Science and English besides which it can include Hindi, Economics, Sanskrit, Commerce etc.
Your language (Core /elective) can be any of the two, English or Hindi, while the other one will simply be considered as an elective. If you are swutching streams from scince to arts or from commerce to arts you will have to face deduction of 2.5 marks.
For more details you can visit https://university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks
can hindi core and english core both the languages be included in the best 4 subjects while applying in DU?
Dear aspirant,
Hope you are doing well. As per your query and as per DU guidelines no can't add two core subjects in best 4. As per the guidelines you can include only two language subjects out of which there can be only one core subject and one elective subject. You can follow these guidelines.
- You need to include one compulsory language that is English
- Your second subject should the one in which you wish to seek admission. If you don't include that subject then 2.5% marks will be deducted from your best of four percentage
- The next two subjects should be academic/elective subjects according to List A. If you don't include subjects as per List A then 2.5% marks will be deducted from your best of four percentage.

could you please calculate best 4 percentage. English core = 82 business studies = 84 marketing = 93 Accounts = 77 Economics = 68 Salesmanship = 84
Out of the subjects and their respective marks that you provided , the best 4 are Marketing, Business Studies , Salesmanship and English Core with their marks 93 ,84, 84, 82 respectively.
The sum total of these subjects is 343 which is 85.75%.
So the best four percentage would be 85.75.
Thank you.
what is the reference for your point in which website states that English core language is treated as language subject and Hindi elective is treated as elective subject. if yes , please tell will i still able to include one other subject in BA programe without any deduction which is not listed.
Hello Aman,
There is nothing like that. So no need to worry about it. It does not depends on an individual's choice to choose the language subject in BA program. You have to study both Hindi as well as English but the difference is these subjects differ according to semesters. For instance; if you have studied Hindi in 1st sem. then in next sem. you have to study English.
Now the question is of percentage deduction. It will happen only when one changes the stream from intermediate level to graduation & depends upon the college in you are taking admission.
Suppose you have passed out your 12th from science stream but you want to graduate from commerce or art course then it will lead some deduction in your percentage someabout 2% - 5%.
Hope you get your answer.
