Hi, Im from B.tech in Civil final year. Im much interested in ES. I want to choose 2nd paper as ES in gate in 2022. So is it possible to get IIT if I score very less in primary choice (Civil) but good enough in secondry paper i.e (In Environmental Science and Engineering)?
Hi, if you are looking forward to do masters in ES then you will have to work hard for paper 2 and not paper 1 that is Civil. The concept of 2 papers is you get to apply with both the GATE score card and whichever gets selected you can enroll through that. Yes, you can get into IITs if you have good score in ES and not in Civil as it won't matter much. So, my best bet would be that you concentrate on your paper2. Thank you.
hello sir main m.sc environmental science se pass ho chuka hu please mujhe kis subjet se pgt ka exam dena chahiye aur ki kis field me apply krna chahiye please sir mujhe btaiye
Hello,
You can appear for UGC NET if you have completed your master's degree from a recognized board securing 55% aggregate, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%, if you're interested for higher studies then you can also qualify JRF, and you'll also receive stipend for your period of study, there is also lectureship post which you can also try for, at state level there are SETs conducted for recruitment of assistant professor which you can also give a try, these exams don't ask for BEd which becomes a compulsory criteria if you're aiming for government jobs whether at central level or state level, now talking about PGT posts, in case of biology as per recruitment norms of KVS it's imperative to have done master's degree in Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/Genetics/ Micro Biology/Bio-Technology/Molecular Biology/Plant Physiology provided the candidate has studied botany and zoology at graduation level, as your profile suggests you belong to UP, even Uttar Pradesh PGT for Biology requires a candidate to have completed master's degree in life science/botany/zoology.

Is Bsc environmental science and Bsc Botany same ? does Bsc botany fall under Bsc environmental science?
Hey,
Environmental Science and Botany are entirely different courses. These do come under science courses but Botany is not a category that falls under Environmental Science.
Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary course that covers issues from geology, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, earth science, and a variety of other disciplines. The course focuses on the environment and the various processes that occur on the planet.
Global warming, pollution, floods, earthquakes, waste management, and sustainable development have all been addressed in depth throughout the course. Environmental Studies courses are available at all levels, from undergraduate to graduate to PhD programmes. Because of its relevance and professional potential, the Environmental Studies subject has recently become increasingly popular among students.
Botany is a discipline of biology that studies the lives of plants in detail, including their structures, properties, and traits and features. Botany is the scientific study of all plant-like living entities, such as algae, fungi, ferns, mosses, and actual plants. This course is designed to assist individuals in learning about plants from a micro to a macro level.

i wanna chose my subjects for BA arts but Im confused which subject i should choose ,but i selected some subjects like english, english literature, functional english , education nd environmental science .can i chose these for my graduation.
Hi,
Your choice of subjects seems great. I don't know why you are confused about the choice of subjects but if you feel you won't be able to perform well in these subjects, then you can change it if you wish. There is no pressure to choose certain specific subjects for your graduation.
If you are confident that you can do very well in the subjects you have chosen & if you are genuinely interested in these subjects then you can go for it. Also, if you have planned something for your future that involves the use of these subjects then too it's great. Remember, you cannot change the subjects during mid semester so take a wise decision now. If you want to change it in between, there will be too many problems which is not something you want. So decide before finalising it.
Hope this helps.
i have completed by btech from biotech . i want to persue my futhr pg from environmental science n eng. .. so should i have to give gate in biotech , lifescience or environmental sc n eng ?
hi,
see since you have completed the bachelors in biotechnology, you should give gate exam from biotechnology paper, you would get much familiarity and would be easier for you to prepare. now the main issue is , environment engineering / environment science and engineering is considered as core branch m.tech course. most of the institute like iit bombay, iit madras allows candidates from only civil, electrical, aerospace etc like b.tech degree holders. so you may not eligible for many of the colleges.
