Does studying b.tech Data science help to become ethical Hacker,do they taught us about hacking
Data science and ethical hacking can be two completely different domains. However, some essential skills do overlap which often leads to the idea that Data science may promote learning in ethical hacking.
To understand this point in detail, we should throw light on all these overlapping points and then we would highlight the differences between the two domains.
-
Ethical hacking and Data science both leverage important algorithms to break through a complex problem.
-
Both these domains make use of high computing power to run algorithms and mathematical computations.
-
The domains are highly dependent on analytical and statistical skills.
-
The libraries which run a set of code to perform a task without much coding are seen to be intertwined and shared among both these domains.
Having analyzed these domains for their similarities, let us now highlight the differentiating factors between the two.
-
Ethical hacking leverages IT skills from Networks, TCP protocols, Databases to front-end vulnerabilities. This range is totally different from what we witness in Data Science.
-
Data science leverages algorithms and libraries which are modified as per the domain in consideration. Ethical hacking is less dependent on Industry domains and the set of rules and procedures are often similar across domains.
-
These two domains can be fairly different when we consider the techniques used to arrive at a solution.
-
Ethical hacking might not be as data-dependent as Data Science. This is an essential difference between the two domains which need differentiated treatments.
We have not analyzed the overlapping factors and the differences which need special treatment. Getting a degree in Data Science does not guarantee detailed learning ethical hacking. One needs to take a focused course to target these two domains.
to become a ethical hacker which is best b.sc oe b tech in computer science
Being a ethical hacker is a dream for many. But practically there are no courses which can train you to be a hacker (any degree programs). So you have to learn by your own and online sources about Ethical Hacking.
Now I think BTech Computer Science will be better for you because from the course work you will learn a lot about programming and software which will help you to become a hard foundation. Later wise if you start studying ethical hacking then you will really feel easy to coup up. And as you have a good background you will face no problem to get a job in the field.
Some of the JD's you may consider being an ethical hacker are:
- Information Security Analyst
- Security Analyst
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Ethical Hacker
- Security Consultant, (Computing / Networking / Information Technology)
- Information Security Manager
- Penetration Tester

can I become ethical hacker after BCA and MCA without taking maths subject in 12
Yes, Ofcourse you can become an ethical hacker after BCA and MCA wothout maths also, you don't necessarily need maths for either BCA or MCA . After your MCA, since you're already equipped with computer knowledge it will be useful for you to do an Ethical Hacking certification course. Just like a bonus point.
Eligibility for ethical hacking is : Bachelors degree in the field of IT and work experience in some cases.
Hope this helps

i am a STD 10 student , which course to choose after 10 to be an ethical hacker
It depends on your Board, what programming language you are going to learn. If you are from CBSE then you might get option of C++ or Python. And if you from ICSE Board then you might study Java or Core Java.
But any programming language will help. At least you will understand that how a program is created or how it works. These skills are necessary if you want to do Reverse Engineering stuff( part of ethical hacking). You don't have to think much if you are in 10th class. But after 12th make sure that you do something related to computer or cyber security. Until then no need to worry.
Focus on you 11 and 12th studies as well. They are really important to set a good foundations in any field in future.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
All the best!
what is good , CS or IT in B.Sc for becoming an ethical hacker ?
Hey,
All are good, but mostly students go for b.sc IT, who are not able to get B.Tech IT or B.tech CS, and similarly for IT and CS. B.tech Computer science is top branch among these three . Well you can become good ethical hacker by study any of these courses. But B.sc focus less on practical than b.tech courses. For being a ethical hacker you have to take any particular course for that either online or from Institute you can go for cyber security also. For more information go through this links:-
I took PCB in 12th can I join Ethical hacking cource in my colleage. Will any college offer Ethical Hacking course without maths?
hi,
see in 12th course you may get options to select subjects among biology, statistics, computer science etc. since you are interested for ethical hacking you should choose computer science as 4th subject taking physics, chemistry and mathematics as a mandatory subject. however the syllabus may not have ethical hacking , it would depends on the board of education and their prescribed syllabus , however you may learn by yourself by watching the you tube video or taking course in udemy, coursera like platforms.
What is Ethical Hacking Certificate Courses? What can we do after that? What is its duration?
Hi Aspirant,
You need to give CEH exam in order to go for the ethical Hacking Courses Certification. The CEH exam is designed to test the cybersecurity professional's baseline knowledge of security threats, risks, and countermeasures through lectures and hands-on labs. You can practise under any government or private companies if you have this certification. It has many perks.
Hope it helps!!
Which is the best time to do certification in ethical hacking? 1). Along with BCA or 2). After BCA
hello haps755
I hope you are doing good . With reference to your query ,I would glad to know you that it is better to do certifcation at the time of bca only . The course structure of bca is not very hectic , you will get time easily to boost your profile by doing extra courses. When you passed out with bca and will go for mca you will find out that you have skills that make you different form other people. At that time you will have to revise concepts and explore other things
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
