Is EWS quota beneficial for students at all in NEET UG? Do we see a huge difference in the allotment of EWS candidates who would have otherwise struggled if they were UR category?
Dear aspirant,
Looking at the previous year trends we can say that having a EWS quota is definitely beneficial. Eventhough, there is not a huge difference in allotment you won't lose opportunities in a close brush which you might have otherwise lost if you were a general candidate. Sometimes, it can also make a difference of BDS and MBBS for some. So, yes it is beneficial to some extent.
Hope this helps.
i get any bds government college seat in 550 with ews quota
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing absolutely great.
So with regard to your query, as per your expected marks scored in the NEET exam, your rank will range between 50k to 1 lakh and you might not get a seat in the All India Quota, however, there are chances for you to get admission into BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Veterinary or any other private colleges and government colleges as well in the state quota, this will be basing upon your category, but it is not compulsory, you might get it basing upon the vacant seats.

sir, I have only ews certificate after the date of 31st march but dont have income certificate so can i take admission under ews quota in delhi university .please reply asap .
Hello Ishant,
EWS Category Certificate is issued only on the basis of valid Income Certificate .
You might have valid EWS Certificate but your Income Certificate has been expired till now as validity for the same is mostly 6 months .
It's very much better for you to rush and go the Tenhsil Office of your area and make your new Income Certificate. Otherwise, you won't be able to get a seat in any Government Medical College under EWS Category Quota.
As for your admission under EWS Category ultimately requires EWS Certificate at any cost, like that only you must have your valid Income Certificate of that year .

I m scoring 470 marks in neet under ews quota and my father is ex army who has been borded out due to disability under army, do I have any chance to get medical college in uttarakhand I have domicile of uttarakhand, as we have seen in delhi and other states that quota is based on priority,
Hello Aspirant
As you can see cut-off varies year to year, college to college, and category to category we can not really decide precisely. According to your category and hence you have a defense quota, there are around 20 seats in MBBS reserved for wards of defense person.
Since you have not mentioned your category ( Gen/OBC/SC/ST) it's difficult to predict which college you can get into precisely. Considering you General through state quota ( Uttrakhand ) you can apply to BDS courses to :
1. Government Doon Medical College
2. Swami Rama Himalayan University
3. Shri Guru Ram Rai
The cut-off rank for the economically weaker section (EWS) category is expected to decrease from 19594 in NEET 2021 to around 22000-22500 this year. So hopes are high that you can get a seat this year in your state.
If you apply through 85% State quota for Uttrakhand Medical Colleges, last year's cut-off for Government Doon medical college was 598 marks for the general category so you can apply to this college as you have a defense quota too.
You can also apply to Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali, Srinagar, and Seema dental college and hospital, Rishikesh.
The last year's cut-off for Uttrakhand open category EWS quota was 480 marks(minimum) since you have a defense quota also you have a higher chance to get a seat.

Sir I wanted to know if can get any govt college with ews quota with 332 marks or is there any other option to get a private medical College which provides seats at lowest cost...
Hello,
With your expected marks in the NEET 2022 Examination, it wouldn't be possible for you to get MBBS seat in Government Medical College despite you being an EWS Category Candidate.
An EWS Category Candidate needs to score around 595+ marks to be on the safe side for seat in Government Medical colleges.
------ Also, to predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every year during Counseling depending upon several factors such as-
• Number of applicants in NEET exam
• NEET question paper difficulty level
• Score of the candidates in NEET 2022 result
• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2022
------- Though with your expected marks you have godd chances of taking admission in Private Medical Colleges and Deemed Medical Universities. But the fees for MBBS course is quite high ranging from 12-18 Lakhs per year in Private medical colleges and around 20 Lakhs in Deemed Medical Universities.

Thank you.
hello sir/maam, my jee 2022 1st attempt score is 106 and i have ews quota , which nit incan expect? thankyou
Hello aspirant,
Looking at the previous year JEE mains Cutoff, in order to get good NIT's through JEE mains, you need to score minimum 96-98 percentile or above to have decent chances of getting seat in Top NIT's of India. The equivalent score in JEE mains to get into good NIT would be around 160-180.
However, you still hold chances to qualify in JEE Main and appear for JEE Advanced. In 2021 the qualifying cut off percentile for EWS category was 66.2 percentile.
further, the above is only a prediction as it is totally based on the previous year Cutoff trends, because the JEE mains cutoff depends on various factors like : difficulty level of the paper, previous year cutoff trends, number of aspirants appearing, etc.

I scored 71 in the ba economics honor (ews quota, outside Delhi ) What r my chances of admitting in IP University !??
According to your question the chances of you getting into the contents are pretty much higher add your have scored well. But not to forget that they universities every year release a cut off that the students need to fulfill in order to get into the university. So your admission not only depends on your hardwork but also on the cut off and other factors.
Hope it helps
