Im a foreign medical graduate and preparing for screeing test (dec. session). Is it a good idea to prepare by myself with notes I made during mbbs plus textbooks and not via any online coaching or pdf notes they provide?
hi,
see I suggest you thoroughly check the previous years questions papers , if you find questions are common as per your knowledge and notes they it will be enough to prepare for the exam by yourself, however if you feel that the notes are not enough to get a decent score in the screening test then you should go for online or offline coaching.
What are the procedures to apply for Internship at CMC Vellore post- MBBS as a Foreign Medical Graduate ? As CMC Vellore is in the list of MCI- approved colleges to do internship , May i know the procedures for registration as well as the fee structure ,if there is any ?
Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference ot your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that you can apply for Internship as Foreign Medical Graduate by providing a provisional Certificate.
A provisional certificate is provided at the end of the MBBS course through which the medical students can apply for a medical internship in India. After the successful completion of CRRI, the medical students are awarded a medico-legal permanent registration certificate.
furthermore, in CMC Vellore College, you need to apply letter for Internship to teh principal of that college. You have to apply for the Rotatory Residential Internship at CMC, Vellore via a letter to the Principal of the College . This letter should be forwarded by the Principal of the Medical College where you are currently studying. Sometimes, the College writes the letter on it's own letterhead.
I hope that this will help.
i am a foreign medical graduate and i wanted to know the basic info about state and all india counselling for doctors like us. Also, i have studied 11th and 12th from delhi, but I am from Bihar. So can i apply for both states?
Hello,
Those students who have completed their MBBS from Foreign Medical Universities such as in Russia, Ukraine, Phillipines etc are called Foreign Medical Graduates or FMGs.
Foreign medical graduates (FMGs) and can apply for post-graduate degree seats in government-run colleges only under the ‘All India Quota' counseling. They aren't eligible for state quota counseling.
FMGs have to write a screening exam conducted by the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) formerly known as the Medical Council of India. Qualifying the foreign medical graduates’ examination (FMGE) exams conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) is a prerequisite to apply for PG courses within the country as also to get licenses to practice as MBBS in India.
I hope you find the answer helpful
Thank you.
what are the scope of foreign medical graduate
Hello student,
Let’s take a look at the scope of MBBS abroad.
As a foreign medical graduate or the students who’ve studied MBBS outside India, doing Post Graduation in India is the first and foremost priority.
After completing MBBS from abroad, the students can choose among various postgraduate medical programs to become a specialist, only after giving the NEET PG exam or the NEXT exam in the coming future.
NEXT 1: Next 1 is given after the MBBS final year and exam score is required.
NEXT 2: It is given during the internship.
After the NEXT 1 and 2 you can get the PG seats in India

is a foreign medical graduate eligible for upsc civil services examination without clearing the licensing examination called Foreign Medical Graduate Examination(FMGE) conducted by the Medical Council of India(MCI) ?
Hello,
I don't think so as per the eligibility criteria the degree certificate should be recognized under the university grant commission therefore i think it should be approved by MCI so that it will become equivalent to indian degree and second necessary condition you should be an indian citizen
Hello Sir / Mam , as NMC is formed and now indian and foreign medical graduate need to give same exam NEXT , so mbbs abroad is a good option rather than paying huge amount of fees in priv colleges please guide and suggest! I am not getting good marks to secure govn seat!
Hello,
Its true that as the NMC bill has passed both indian medical graduates and foreign medical graduates will have to appear for the same NEXT exam.
But the fmge passing rates for the previously conducted fmge exams is less than 25% and the indian medical education is better in terms than that for medical institutions in russia/ukraine.
We suggest you to take a 1 year drop for thorough neet prepartion and get a good indian medical college in neet 2021.. A drop from neet preparation is an better option as 60% of medical stidents are droppers. also it really doesn't matter in long run.
You can use careers360 college predictor to know the colleges you can get at your NEET score;- https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hey Diwakar I have the same issue and I contacted a few admission consultants regarding this. Most of the consultants are saying that its not possible to get the eligibility certificate. Anyways just give me your contact details like email or something. Are you on Quora? We can discuss this issue there as well.
