Yes, the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is to pass the graduation with 55% marks(5% relaxation in terms of reserve category) or 5.5( 5 CGPA for reserved category) CGPA on the scale of 10. If your pursuing B.SC in Forensic Science or Microbiology, you will still be eligible for IIT JAM, however, the course you will get into after qualifying IIT JAM may vary. So, as per the specializations offered under the IIT JAM, with B.SC Forensic Science/Microbiology, you will be eligible only for M.SC in Biotechnology.

The INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE (IFSc ) is the topmost government college to study forensic science in Nagpur. It provides many courses like BSc, MSc,  etc .Admission to these courses is  strictly on the basis of Merit .Although the prevailing reservation policies of the state Government/ Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, Nagpur University, Nagpur will be applicable. There is no such entrance exam and the admission is bases on your merit. For BSc , 10+2 marks are required. While for MSc, your aggregate of BSc will be considered.
