Will any one tell me B.Sc with biotechnology & genetics possible & if yes then how to take admission, what is the further scope & salary , top universities providing the course ? Give me the answer please..
Hello,
BSC is bachalor of science graduation degree. This is three years course duration in any subject.
Like BSC in biotechnology and genetics is not possible with along or only one subject. You can study BSC in biotechnology or BSC in genetics individually. Also you can study in BSC in microbiology, BSC in molecular biology etc. If you interested in biotechnology then you take this subject and in this course you can study some portion of genetics also. Because alk are some kind of relatable. But BSC in biotechnology and genetics is not possible. I hope you can understand the point.
And one thing BSC in biotechnology is the most interesting and scopefull course in this days. Upcoming Yes it will be a huge reputable course. There are lots of universities give the opportunity of this subject. I'll provide you a link below you can check it for more details about the college

All the best.
I have a B.Sc. degree in biotechnology, biochem, and genetics (3 years). Am I eligible to give GATE for BT paper?
Hi Simran!
Bsc Students are not eleibile to write GATE exam. Only the candidates of B.Tech or B.E. or MSc (relevant science subject) are allowed to write GATE exam. So, if you want to write GATE exam, then you first need to complete the degree in MSc in biotechnology (or equivalent). To know more, visit here:

Is MSc Biomedical Genetics more interesting and useful than MSc Biotechnology if you want to be in research field of Genetics?
Hello,
First of All you must understand the basic difference between M.Sc Biomedical Genetics and M.Sc Biotechnology.
M.Sc Biomedical Biotechnology- In this course, you will study about both Biology and Chemistry at an advanced level. This course is to study living organism to produce Bio- Products to make medicines. Genetics is just a part of this course.
M.Sc Genetics- In this course, you will study only about genetics. You will study about the genetic level of various living organisms. You will get to know the various techniques of experiment related to genetics. This course is totally based on Genetics.
M.Sc Genetics Syllabus
Semester 1-
Concept of Genetics
Chromosome, Genes and Genomes
Biostatistics and Population Genetics
Concepts in Cells in Modular Biology
Practical including Continuous Assesment
M.Sc Biotechnology syllabus
Semester 1
Advanced Biochemistry
Advanced Molecular Biology
Animal cell Technology
Biostatistics
Lab
I hope you have understood the difference between the two.
Good Luck.
What is the relation of genetics with human welfare.
Hello,
Genetics has played a vital role in identifying such diseases for human survival. Various fatal disorders are existed in human due to imbalance of chromosome number. These lead to malfunctioning or death of an individual. Genetics can help us to understand why people look the way they do and why some people are more prone to certain diseases than others. Genetics can help health-care professionals to identify certain conditions in babies before they are born using techniques such as prenatal testing.
